4 out of 5 eggsGreat Product

Pros: Simple to set up. Long-lasting and reliable.

Cons: Signal strength significantly reduced when crossing more than 3 walls and/or 40 feet. Just keep it in a central location and it should work great for you.

Other Thoughts: I've had mine for about 2-3 years, now. I've never had any of these rebooting issues or various other complaints that people have had.

Just keep in mind, folks; these are electronics, occasionally you WILL get a faulty one. Don't blame the product or the manufacturer, just get it replaced. If the issue persists in each replacement, THEN you have a problem.

2 out of 5 eggsGood, if you skip the reboots.

Pros: Fast when it's working, tons of configuration options, excellent wireless broadcast power, easy to access features, cheap, remote administration...

Cons: Reboots itself frequently. Even D-Link cannot explain why. The longest I've had it running before it has randomly reset itself is 2 days, but no discernable pattern as to why exists.

Other Thoughts: Great for simple, web-browsing only home use, but if you plan on running anything demanding on it (torrents, any kind of server, gaming), don't expect it to act like it can handle it.

1 out of 5 eggsDead after 1 year

Pros: It worked for about 1 year.

Cons: Dead after 1 year by itself. Started with 1 LAN port then history.

Other Thoughts: I am going to go back to linksxs. Spend a little more to get reliability and quality.

5 out of 5 eggsexcellent starter kit

Pros: Good performance on both router and wireless card, easy set up decent range, inexpensive. solid connection strength even through some strcutures.

Cons: mail in rebate takes time. one day when you receive the rebate check, it feels like when you find money in a pair of pants you've forgotten about. not really a con i guess.

Other Thoughts: when configuring the wireless network, make sure you uncheck "let windows configure wireless network" and do it manually using the Dlink wireless connection wizard if you are using a secured wireless connection. I set the laptop on a detached garage about 25 meters from the router installed in a living room. connection strength was consistent at 80-90% signal strength. i used this set up to replaced a linksys which kept dropping connection even when wired. have yet to drop connection with d-link

5 out of 5 eggsWouldn't have anything else.

Pros: This purchase was my second one, only because I needed another combo for a different household. Reliable, fast, great range, user friendly, and you can really lock down your network with the DI-624. The MAC filtering option includes all the machines connected to your network, not just wireless. A nice feature; very secure. Easy firmware upgrades, and lots of features. D-Link customer support is the best!

Cons: Make sure you do a screen shot of your MAC filter list before updating the firmware. Updating sets the unit back to ALL of the factory defaults.

Other Thoughts: I've worked with all the other brands. In my opinion, the D-Link is way ahead. You get what you pay for.

5 out of 5 eggsDI-624 Router

Pros: Excellent data throughput, extremely stable wireless connection, easy web-based user interface. VERY RELIABLE... runs endlessly without issues!

Cons: None whatsoever.

Other Thoughts: I sincerely hope that D-Link's new line of wireless routers does HALF AS GOOD as this one does... and they'll NEVER have any negative issues!

2 out of 5 eggsDoesn't last long

Pros: Good security features - the router supports WPA2, although the accompany wireless card. But with WPA-PSK, it's good enough.
Good price, with the rebate.
Good router when it works

Cons: I have used the DI-624 for about 18 months and recently it started to drop connections. The problem doesn't last long, about 5 minutes, then everything is fine again. It happens about once every 2 days - BUT always at the most unfortunate moment - when I need the internet the most. I don't know how much longer I can put up with this router.

Other Thoughts: I didn't make a connection before, but I also used a DI-604 before, and I had the same problem after 2 years. I thought it was the problem with the cable modem, but now I'm pretty sure it's the router. I'll give Linksys a try next time. Hope it will last longer than D-Link.

1 out of 5 eggsBad Bad!

Pros: Depends! 50% of getting a good one or defected one.

Cons: I send in to D-link for exchange still bad... First one wirless can't connect. Second one if the keep restarting crazy. P.S. you need to pay the shipping if you are going to send it back for exchange. I thought sending a second one back, but 50% chance of getting another bad one.. Plus i will lose another 9$ on shipping...This Product sucks!

Other Thoughts: Check all reveiw before you really buy them don't go for the price!

4 out of 5 eggsNot too bad

Pros: Router is pretty stable. Can fast connection speed. Setup is pretty simple. PC card has good range, can detect the neighbors networks and there is a good 30-40 feet between houses.

Cons: Router signal strength is not the best when going through floors; can run a little hot when multiple computers are connected.

Other Thoughts: Only need to restart the router every 3 to 4 weeks. Not a bad pick up.

1 out of 5 eggsDI-624

Pros: Somewhat easy to set up

Cons: First I would say look at reviews if your lucky to have a connection overnite you would be a lucky person after doing firmware update (twice per DLink) still wont stay connected then dlink says to change settings on different areas did as was recommended still loses connection after a week of this garbage went and bought a different brand router just as easy to set up no issues just again look at the issues this thing has and make a wise choice

Other Thoughts: Once again I have to say look at reviews but if you want my opinion stay clear of this pile of garbage even with the rebate you will pay too much ( even if it rebated all your money with shipping ) I was using a Dlink DI604 but wanted wireless so I tried this but wont buy a Dlink product again
