Pros: It's Speed. It has a good range for my apartment, I can even get wifi from it in my car, couple houses down from my apartment. Great color and slim design. The UI allows for good customization.

Pros: Good features, good range. Fast ethernet.

Cons: Worked good up until right after the warranty period. Since then I have had daily drops of wireless connections and constant DNS issues. Kept firmware updated and tried a myriad of configs to no avail. Lastly I updated the firmware with the Canad version, turned off QOS and DNS relay and it seems more stable, but as soon as you get 3 or more devices connected to it, it slows down and my PS3 will disconnect with DNS errors. Then my laptop just quits loading web pages. Unplug and reboot it and its good for a while longer. Sometimes 3 or 4 reboots are required.

Other Thoughts: Dlink has always been my go to router for myself, friends family and clients, but after this experience I think I am going to have to go to another brand. :(

PS. Had extensive testing done by TWC and even got a new modem from them. No help!

Pros: Wired network works as it should.

Cons: The wireless which is touted as "Blazing speed wireless N" Can barely sustain 8mbps This problem exists across all devices from phones to laptops even to my D-Link Camera. The entire router reboots whenever it feels like it.

Other Thoughts: I bought this to not get the econo model router.
For the price increase I should get something that performs better. Now so far I have been on the phone with customer service for over an hour. They still keep trying to blame my isp. However hard connected through their very same router on a wired connection.
I am only trying to get signal 2 go 15 feet on this "ultimate range Xtreme" Model...
Shame on you D'link you just lost my business.

I am disappoint.

Pros: It has run for approximately 7 years. I can't wait to buy another one, they are vastly superior to most routers on the market with a flawless wireless performance and tons of features.

Cons: IPSEC pass through for VPN must be disabled in order to get cisco's VPN client to work (backwards of how you'd think)

Pros: Pretty white and black color

Cons: Slow
Bad connection

Other Thoughts: I got this to replace a dying Linksys Wrt54g. This one was worse that the dying one! The connection was inconsistent. The speeds were inconsistent. I'd plug this in and it was all over the place. The Linksys was even more solid at that time. I gave up on this thing, told my sister she could have it if she wanted to play with it.

I think I'll ante up a bit more money next time and get something I know will work.

Pros: Easy to setup

Cons: I have owned this router for almost a year and it worked pretty well for the first 6 months. Occasionally I would experience a dropped wireless connection, but I'm reasonable and didn't fret. However, in the last few months it has increased the number of dropped connections substantially. In fact, some days it will drop connections a dozen times in an hour.

I have upgraded the firmware, made sure that the router is far from metal and other interfering substances, and generally followed the advice that D-Link support has given the MANY other people who have had the same problems. Unfortunately, trying all of these things have resulted in no improvements in performance. The constant drops continue. I recommend you avoid this router.

Pros: D-Link is always my first choice when it comes to router. It's also the product I highly recommend to my family & friends. Late last night, we had a power blackout and my router has no internet connectivity. I called D-Link tech support and she was able to help me with great patience. She practically saved my day since I have an important deadline tomorrow that I need to get VPN access at work. Her ID# is AR004212. Sorry, I didn't ask your first name. Thank so much!

Pros: Good range and easy set-up.

Cons: Marginally works... router can only handle 3-4 wireless clients at a time before it starts kicking people off randomly. Internet speeds are severely limited over Wi-Fi. It's stupid how frequently I have to reset the router. Multiple devices simply won't connect to the router and it is a constant headache.

Pros: When it works, it's a serviceable router with good range. It has the options you'd expect from a mid to low range router.

Cons: I honestly hate this router. I bought it on sale and listened to newegg's "customer choice award winner" tag. With over 2k reviews, most of them good I had to give it a try.

First off, the USB port is useless. I'd hoped to use it for a NAS, but you can only remotely connect one machine at a time. Why you wouldn't just plug that device into the computer at that point, I'll never know, but it's useless. Second, about once a month my connection slows to a trickle and eventually shuts off. It's almost as if packets get jammed up in the thing and then it just gives up. When I reboot it, it comes right back faster than ever. Well, most times it comes right back, sometimes it comes back having lost its config and I have to start from scratch. This may be because of the third thing I hate: the reset button. The recessed reset button is right next to the hole for the power cable, and the power cable fits in the cavity just enough to press the button! Fumbling in my stereo cabinet I've pressed this stupid button way too many times.

Among the lights on the front of the unit is an infuriating globe that is blue when you have internet connection, and orange when you don't. Once in a while, just for fun, it'll turn orange for no apparent reason and stay that way until I manually go in and release the IP, then hook my laptop directly to the modem (which still has internet), hook the router back up and apply my laptop's mac to the router. No idea why this happens, but walking my wife through the procedure while she curses at me once every three months is a joy.

Other Thoughts: I am a high level computer professional with over 15 years in the industry. I have done everything from programming to networking and currently support virtual systems on four different platforms and the hardware they run on. The last thing I want to do when I go home at night is futz around with a half a**ed router. This is being replaced with an Asus and given to a friend since dd-wrt doesn't even support it.
