Manufacturer Limited Warranty period (parts): 1 year
Manufacturer Limited Warranty period (labor): 1 year
Tech Level: somewhat high - Ownership: 1 month to 1 year
Pros: Looks nice; cool display. Good feature set and well designed web interface.
Cons: It's hard for me to express my frustration with this device and with D-Link tech support. Bottom line: despite hours on the phone and firmware upgrades and a replacement unit; the router locks up at least once a week and needs power cycling. That's completely unacceptable and makes the produce unusable.
I'm replacing it with a Netgear.
Other Thoughts: D-Link tech support is horrible. Long waits to speak with people who don't understand the products. Then get passed off to next level support but no notes in the record. They're a huge time sink. When finally agreed to replace under warrenty a 30-day old modem; I had to pay to ship it back! They seem to care nothing for customer satisfaction.

Worst Router I have ever owned

Tech Level: somewhat high - Ownership: 1 month to 1 year
This user purchased this item from Newegg
Pros: Has good number of features. Looks nice
Cons: Poor Range. If you buy this you will regret it as many complaints about loss of network connection every 48 hours or so. No solution despie firmware upgrade. Go to D-Link forum and see for yourself. I have to physically walk to the basement and unplug and replug in to get function back. I'm returning mine after 2 months use - using the AMEX return Protection.
Other Thoughts: Going to Try the Buffalo WZR-HP-G300NH which has good reviews and high power antenna

Happy With Router

Tech Level: average - Ownership: 1 week to 1 month
This user purchased this item from Newegg
Pros: I spent a lot of time looking through every router on newegg.com, I choose this one and I’m very happy! I have my external hard drive hooked up on it, showed up instantly on “my computer” after upgrading the firmware and installing the share-port software, so cool! A lot of options that you get to change and choose very intuitive’ clean admin menu. I really recommend that if you are looking for a router that will give you an easy gigabyte network speed (nice part in the admin menu you can set it to gigabit only port). I want to include I wanted to find a true “n” and true “g” wireless because it really does separate it so when you’re using a G with it and you have a N laptop, well it won’t affect it at all.
Cons: A little Pricey, but thats because its quality
Other Thoughts: Make sure you visit dlinks website and upgrade the firmware as soon as you get this! When i did my External hard-drive showed right up on the network via Shareport utility!
