5 out of 5 eggsWorth the price

Pros: A bit on the higher end when it comes to standard home use, but I bought this adapter close to 2 years ago because I live in the backwoods where we are unable to receive any Internet service other than dial-up, which I refuse to use since I am so use to working with some sort of high-speed connection. I am able to pick up 3-4 bars any day of the week from a wireless signal emitted by a hotel about a quarter of a mile away from my house, even through all of the trees. I'd say this was worth the extra money, as it definitely does its job. It also comes with software that helps display/run the wireless signals, but I usually don't use it. This adapter integrates with the stock Windows wireless manager very nicely.

Cons: None, really.

Other Thoughts: If you need a reliable adapter that is easy to integrate and does the job its intended, look no further. Just remember to play around with the antennas a little bit to get your strongest signal strength if need be(which can be checked in percentage form by using the wireless management software that comes with the disk...kind of neat, actually).

3 out of 5 eggsI hope there's something better

Pros: It works well most of the time.

Cons: Sometimes I have to reinstall Windows to get it connected.

Other Thoughts: Connected to a Netgear WNDR4500, and it works well when it does. Software not very soft. Had a hard time finding drivers that would work, because apparently, the drivers that came with it doesn't work. Even when I updated them. Had to search interne forums. Even then, the new drivers I found weren't that good. If it doesn't work for you, reinstalling Windows might help.

5 out of 5 eggsWorked solid so far!

Pros: Pretty simple to install. Has worked well for me! My router is downstairs, but my PC is upstairs and I still get 80+%. Works solid even for gaming!

Cons: None so far!

Other Thoughts: Make sure you install the most updated drivers from the website! The drivers on the disks are out-dated and my not work right with your PC. The most update driver helps the adapter run at optimal speed and strength. And obviously make sure you point the antennas in the general direction of the router and your set!

3 out of 5 eggsWorks

Pros: - Easy to install
- Good signal (70-80%) at range, through walls

Cons: - Horrible GUI on the included disc
- Having 3 antennae is cool, but positioning them can be difficult on a desktop. The PCI slot is usually above the PCIe slot on most motherboards, and all the rear ports (audio, usb) are usually coming out right above that, which doesn't leave much space for antennae

Other Thoughts: So far, no dropped connections or unexpected behavior.

5 out of 5 eggsBest WIFI Card Ever!

Pros: This has to be the best WIFI card I have ever purchased. I downloaded the latest driver from d-Link's website and manually installed the it from the device manager. So far I have had no major problems as far as cutting out and I am getting downloading speeds as high as 24 Mbps. I am still using a Wireless G router and the card is still blazing fast.

Cons: Non so far

Other Thoughts: If you manually install the driver from the "Device Manager" you should be good to go. I believe the wizard software that comes with the card is what is messing people up.

1 out of 5 eggsWhatoh

Pros: *shrugs*

Cons: Infinite Computer Crash

Other Thoughts: I'm sure this card deserves better than the 1 egg I'm giving it, but I need to share my experience with it. My internet signal has been week in the area I moved into, causing my computer to hiccup while connected to internet. The cheaper solution was to try a new wireless card in my computer, as apposed to the 24 dollar asus one I had...

I bought the best rated card I could find (this card) and thought it would make a perfect match with my Dlink router. I installed the card into my PCIe slot and turned on my computer. After the boot up screen I would get the blue screen of death and my computer would restart itself and set itself into an infinite loop of crashing and restarting. I took the card out and put the old one back in and it would boot just fine. Again tried installing the Dlink card again to see if it would work, and again, infinite crashing. I was never able to get to the desktop with this card plugged in. So just be warned. I'm on a custom build,Gigabyte MB,AMD 6 core,8GR
