1 out of 5 eggsproblems have never been fixed

Pros: works (though unstable) in vanilla setup

Cons: Many features just don't work, such as DynDNS client and port-forwarding. Features are missing such as seeing what your upstream DNS servers are. Some features that may work are unusable because of poor interface and documentation (one can't figure them out). Doesn't give sufficient priority to VOIP packets: if you're using available bandwidth to down/upload, voice quality is unacceptably poor.

Other Thoughts: It would be an appealing piece of hardware if it worked, so it's hard to understand why Vonage hasn't ever bothered to fix the firmware.

1 out of 5 eggsNot worth it

Pros: Phone works

Cons: After power loss, must reconfigure, click the "reboot" button in the firmware, must reconfigure, just look at it wrong, must reconfigure. Also DHCP over Hard Wire connection does not work. Will replace with a Wireless Router that does not loose its config at every turn and will purchase a separate Vonage phone adapter....

Other Thoughts: Do not purchase, if you want to try it out, you can have mine.

1 out of 5 eggsD-Stink Junk

Pros: good paperweight

Cons: Defaults to factory configuration whenever the power even blinks off. Restore/backup doesn,t work. Vonage sent me this garbage as a replacement for a Linksys that I purchased but failed after 1 year.

Other Thoughts: At least the Lynksys worked right for awhile.

1 out of 5 eggsDO NOT BUY!!!!!

Pros: Its wireless with ethernet ports, nothing more....

Cons: The device is very unstable, every time it the power goes out it needs to be reconfigured as it resets to factory defaults. dmz and other features don't work, wep encryption config only works from within IE, and even then its buggy. Vonage has claimed all this will be solved by a firmware revision, by there own admittance its been over a year since they have known about the issues. They claim there waiting on a fix from D-Link although they write there own firmware. Vonage rep who sold me the device told me it had no such issues (he lied because at the time they knew about the issues). Vonage is only willing to give me a $40 credit to replace it when all replacements are $70+ and this has never worked correctly since day 1.BUYER BEWARE

1 out of 5 eggsThis router/device sucks

Pros: None that i can think so except that maybe its wireless? (kinda)

Cons: Well, to start off vonage doesnt know anything about firmware, they write all the firmware for their "phone devices" and on this particular router, even after the 'update' the port forwarding DOES NOT work, you cannot demilitarize any computers conected to it because that doesnt work either. None of the wireless encryption works except the WPA-PSK. Router will reset wireless encryption and all other settings when you restart then device (which you have to do to get the phone to work about once a week)

Other Thoughts: DONT BUY, just buy a wireless router and then buy a regular vonage phone device, it will work much better, i guarantee it!

1 out of 5 eggsGarbage product

Pros: It is a good machine to practice how to reboot a router.

Cons: It is extremely unstable. The wireless wpa/wep passwords gets deleted by itself frequently. I lose my telephone connection at least2-3 times every day. When I call vonage tech service, they always tell me reboot. Everday I am rebooting and this is getting on my nerves. Port forwarding messes up the router big time. A little bit of internet traffic disrupts phone connection.

Other Thoughts: I have asked Vonage to replace this garbage unit and give me something that works. No solution from Vonage yet.

2 out of 5 eggsneeds monthly reboots

Pros: connection and setup were easy.
when it works, it works.

Cons: I'm finding this needs to be rebooted one or two times a month.
It just loses phone connection.
I'll be on the phone and it will go dead, then you'll hear a message stating that it's not connecting to Vonage.

Other Thoughts: Vonage Tech support was clueless. I detailed the problem and their response was to reboot my router. It needs to be replaced.

1 out of 5 eggsHorrible Router - Avoid

Pros: It's a descent Vonage adapter.

Cons: This router has so many problems that I don't have enough time to list all of them. Port forwarding issues, random reboots, no wireless security, etc, etc. Avoid this router at all costs.

Other Thoughts: If all you're looking for is a Vonage adapter, it works okay. Just don't expect to use this as a functional wireless/wired router.

4 out of 5 eggsWorks perfect with me!

Pros: Slim and attractive. Does what a router is supposed to do.
I got it for free with Vonage.
Didn't have problem with port forwarding.

Cons: Installation and configuring was not easy. It took me several days to configure it.

Other Thoughts: Those who uses bittorent might initially have problems.
Even after port forwarding, bittorents may slow up eerything. The reason for this is the modem gets slow actually. In such instances, power off everythhing and restart. First turn on the modem, let it run for a few minutes. The turn on the router and let it configure itself. This way my problem was sokved. Repeat it many times if u do not get it the 1st time.
