5 out of 5 eggsGreat as a bridge

Pros: Easy to setup. Navigating the web interface is easy and intuitive. The instructions were easy to follow. I purchased 2 of these to set up a wireless bridge between 2 houses for network/internet sharing. The distance is 163 feet. It has removable antennas so I could attach 2 7db antennas to each one. Once I did that the connection has been reliable and quick. It hasn't gone down once except for a power outage, and it reconnected quickly after that.

Cons: d-link web support is pathetic. Couldn't find anyone to answer my questions in regards to function and antenna options. I had to answer these questions on my own.

1 out of 5 eggsYou will regret buying this product

Pros: None

Cons: 1) Web interface crashes or times-out every other click which makes configuration a nightmare
2) Can't retain a connection
3) Doesn't work even when configured

Other Thoughts: Even one egg is too generous. I tried and failed to set it up as a range extender for my dlink DIR-655. It can't hold a connection even when parked practically next to the router (signal strength as measured by the dir-655 UI is > 85% for the short intervals it stays connected). Search the web and you'll find that other people have had the same problem. I have at least a dozen devices (wireless and wired) on my network and I know what I'm doing; it's the device.

1 out of 5 eggsRequires resetting twice daily

Pros: Easy to set up. Fast when it works.

Cons: Requires me to reset/power cycle the AP two or three times per day. None of my wireless devices are able to re-connect once they get disconnected due to sleep/hibernation. Re-connection always results in time out error.

3 out of 5 eggsWorks when it does

Pros: Setup is fairly easy, just you the same wireless settings as your wireless router for AP mode. It works well when you actually get a working one.

Cons: Broke after 30 days had to send it back to DLink they sent a new one back its been working well now for 1 month no issues.

1 out of 5 eggsDisapointed

Pros: None

Cons: VERY difficult to set up. There is no easy way to tell if it's working or not or if you are connected to the DAP-1360 or the original router. I finally got it to work, but after a couple of days or hour, it would stop working. The differents devices were not picking up our signal anymore. Even in the kitchen were the main access point usually reach, this DAP-1360 was blocking all access to the network. I had to manually unplug to reset everything everytime.

Other Thoughts: I bought this to extend my wireless network from my Dlink DIR-825 so we can use our laptops ans tablets outside by the pool and on the patio. Because of all the cons I listed, I returned it to newegg. I am going to try a netgear or something else. I do not recommend to by this item.

5 out of 5 eggsIt Actually Works

Pros: Good Speed
Works

Cons: Gets Hot

Other Thoughts: I set this up as an access point along with my wireless router which is in my basement. I had it for a day now and have not had any issues yet. I would say setup is complicated for someone who does not know networking and may take them longer to setup. Internet speed has increased from 1MB/s to 15MB/s on 802.11n. From 1 bar to full bars. Also it may be easier to use this device with a router that is is from 2010+. I have all Dlink networking hardware.

5 out of 5 eggsEasy Setup

Pros: Easy Setup, Extends my wireless network nicely.

I liked that it has a wired port as well as the wireless repeating feature, the wireless repeater mode has to be located inside the wireless footprint pretty deep. This in turn looses some range on the other end, however I'm using the wired lan port to extend my wireless network by using it as an access point.

Cons: None that I can see, was easy setup compatible with D-Link wireless routers.

5 out of 5 eggsGood inexpensive access point

Pros: Works well as an additional AP where there was poor coveage upstairs in a large house. Not difficult to set-up following directions in the manual.

Cons: Useless Quick Start instructions and poor documentation. READ THE PAGES OF THE MANUAL THAT MATTER, i.e., set-up and encryption.

Other Thoughts: Purchased to use as an access point upstairs in a 3 story house in conjunction with a DIR-655 wireless router downstairs. It worked perfectly the 2nd time I set it up, after resetting the router because following the Quick Start instructions caused the network to default to the DAP and removed the router from the network.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks great

Pros: Easy setup and worked perfectly with the dir-655 as a wireless repeater. Needed repeater because the playstation 3 was to far away from the router. Configured it up in about 5 minutes and ps3 went from 1 bar to 5 bars and has great connection now.

Cons: None so far.

Other Thoughts: None

1 out of 5 eggsNot good

Pros: It's d-link

Cons: have to re-configure the ip and subnet mask of the wireless card.
instructions are horrible.

Other Thoughts: Being a d-link product I trusted it (I switched from linksys and netgear never did anything for me), however, I'm disappointed. I now realize that I'd better trust the newegg reviews rather than the brand.
