1 out of 5 eggsGarbage

Pros: 50% of the ones I have bought work and keep working.

Cons: 50% dont work consistantly. Constantly have to power cycle them to get them to work and only work for a couple of days only for you to have to do it again. Endlessly having to power cycle unit to get to work. I have bought and installed more than 10 of these for my customers and around half or more I have had to go back to replace.

I have gone through the RMA process with a couple of these and I just dont have the time to do it anymore and its ridiculous what they put you through to get what you paid for. I used to stand behind dlink 100% but with what I have gone through with these and how much Time and Money lost with this product I cant do it any more.

Other Thoughts: I own a computer repair buisness and I rather not come back to a job after installing a router or worse have to send someone because Im busy on a more imortant job. If your a home user and want to roll the dice, you may get a good product. But for me I need everyone of them to be good and reliable, these arent.
These issues with this product maybe incompatibilty with some devices by the end users, but the product should work with all wifi certified devices. Also there are no firmware updates for this product to address these issues. And I have tried all different kinds of settings with this product, even with the wireless network being unsecure there are still connectivity issues.
I switched to dlink after linksys changed to internal antennas and now I have now switched to another company, with a better product and at a better price. Most have 2 year warranties rather than 1. Can't name the other company do to the Newegg guidelines but, compare and find a better router than this 1.

1 out of 5 eggsForget it

Pros: Small profile.

Cons: Our very old router was better. The only way this one will "see" devices like my laptop or the TV is if you disconnect it and then reconnect it. If the electricity turns off, again I have to disconnect the router and reconnect. I've tried adjusting the settings to no avail. Not worth the price to have to mess with it all the time.

1 out of 5 eggsdon't buy this

Pros: I know you want to. It's twenty bucks. Don't do it. Think about the future. Think about the children. Do you want to hear them saying "Dad the internet isn't working" every few hours? You don't want that. Do you want to be the one walking them through rebooting the router over the phone because Ninjago isn't working on the iPad? Don't do it.

Cons: I see your mind. You want to buy it. You want to believe everyone else is just a victim of pebkac. You want to believe that no reputable company would knowingly sell a device that clearly has fundamental issues. You are wrong. Turn back now.

Other Thoughts: I was once like you.

1 out of 5 eggsJunk

Pros: Low price

Cons: Has to be restarted about every other day. Wireless devices constintly will drop connection and can not connect untill router is restarted. Windows, Mac's, iPod, and iPad all lose connection with this router. Also router would lose connection with my server with a wired connection. Had to change NIC on server to use Full Duplex instead of Hardware select.

Other Thoughts: I purchased this router as a backup router incase my other router goes out. Because this router allows for more port forward rules than my other router I decided to put this router into service. This router is now located at the landfill.

1 out of 5 eggsThese are junk

Pros: It works but once you forget your password to the secured network, you are toast trying to reset it.

Cons: Once you forget the password to get on your own network, this thing is useless. It will not reset. When going to the website 192.168.0.1, it sits idle for hours doing nothing.

Other Thoughts: These are junk and a waste of $30...

1 out of 5 eggsbarely works

Pros: wired lan seems to work.

Cons: wireless devices dont connect until you reboot router. ridiculous! Range for N devices is very low (when they finally connect)... And like all the rest. drops connections often. requires many reboots a week to keep all devices connected.

Other Thoughts: I would think a firware update would fix all this but nothing from D-Link... sad. had this piece of junk for 3 months and need to trash and fork out the money for a better router.
