1 out of 5 eggsD-link DWA-566 garbage

Cons: Slow connection speeds(when it connected)

5 out of 5 eggsgood

Pros: easy installation and fast driver installations.

Cons: the price

Other Thoughts: i've bought several dlink wireless adapters and other wireless adapter brands before and dlink has been the best so far. costs a bit more than other of similar product but is worth it.

5 out of 5 eggsgood data rate

Pros: Data transfer rate is above 80 Mbps. I am talking about data not the connection speed of 300Mbps, which is does.

Cons: Do not let Microsoft update the driver. If you do your connection will drop to 100Mps.

5 out of 5 eggsgreat little card!

Pros: Worked right out of the box in my new build with Ubuntu 12.10.

Seems to play nicely with my D-Link Dir-655 router. Fast too!

Cons: Tight fit. The placement of the mobo connection was off just enough that it felt like I was putting too much force inserting the card, but all works nicely!

Gskill ripjaw 16G Ddr3 1600

4 out of 5 eggsGood hardware, very bad driver support

Pros: The hardware works fine. It's quite fast and the best at the 5Ghz band from the pile of adapters I've tossed at this complicated dead-zone build.

Seems impervious to dirty neighbors/Microwaves kicking on, but then again that could be the router's good deed. I just can't find another adapter that works better than this one, so giving this adapter a pat on the back for that.

Cons: After a year, the drivers from the website simply do not install on Win7-64 Pro. The ones on the disc worked fine on two builds, but where is that thing now? I dunno. It's been over a year and I usually toss those things since getting the latest version off the website is the best for builders. Nope.

Downloaded every version I could find on their website for my OS and it just halts saying that the Win7-64 version I downloaded is not for my Win7-64 boxes...none of them.

Windows update somehow has drivers that work, but D-link does not. I can't figure out how that happens.

Other Thoughts: I've been a big fan of D-link hardware for, Jeez, about 8 years now; but the support is just sliding downhill for my tastes. This is still a fine piece of hardware and the driver issues just shouldn't be an issue. Most of the "fixes" state they've fixed exactly that I didn't have a problem with then but do now.

It works very well, but that's thanks to MS/Windows Update delivering the basics any piece of hardware needs. Seeing this on the rest of my D-Link hardware that are being replaced with another brand at a fast rate.

Don't steer clear and still 4 eggs; I'm not bitter. Just don't hope to get much as far as support prior to calling the help desk. Just get this weird feeling that 1yo products are not supported fully.

(No, I don't want an RMA or call/email tech support. Microsoft already helped me out...I think)

1 out of 5 eggsNeeds Better drivers

Pros: Paper Specs.

Cons: Only work briefly and at reduced performance. Doesn't work on Auto channel. Conflicts with e-sata (connected external HD for backup and the card stopped working, had to reinstall drivers). In side by side comparison my cheapo netbook is faster than this card. (all tests done in G mode at 2.4ghz)

Other Thoughts: Hate to be beta tester. I didn't wanted to wait for driver upgrade and it was RMA to newegg. Too bad I need to pay re-stoking fee for a product that should be in the market just yet. No D-LINK for me

5 out of 5 eggsReliable

Pros: 5Ghz
300 mpbs
easy setup and integrates into my windows 7 (64 bit)
Reliable and consistent connection

Cons: Didn't get sooner.

Other Thoughts: I used to have a generic PCI wireless adapter that was about $20 and did the job for most things. But whenever I tried online gaming my lag, high ping, and D/Cs were just getting annoying. My gaming was basically being bottlenecked by the fact my wireless internet was weak link. But when I payed the pretty penny for this D Link adapter, I got exactly what I expected from a $70 adapter which is a great fast connection and am happy.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat wireless card

Pros: I just wanted a internal wireless card to match my D-Link DIR-825 and it works great with it. Fits even with my EVGA GTX580 taking up a lot of space.

Cons: None. Then again, I only installed the drivers and let Windows manage it instead of the D-Link software.

Other Thoughts: Motherboard is a ASUS M5A97. With my EVGA GTX580 taking up the top PCIE x16 slot and the first PCIE x1 slot, this card fit perfectly in the second x1 slot.
