5 out of 5 eggsgreat for a gamer

Pros: No installation required, unless you count plugging it into the wall outlet. It started right up. I get 30 Mbps instead of the 8 I was getting from our awful router that comes standard. No more wireless connection glitches killing my hardcore Diablo characters!

Cons: none

5 out of 5 eggsPowerline is where its at

Pros: Right out of the box these things worked like a charm. My house was built in 2006 and I needed a bridge from computer room to living room. They work very well giving me excellent connection between two routers.

Cons: none so far

Other Thoughts: They work well over short distance because there was only a max of 25ft between. I think longer distance not so much but I was a doubter and now I am a believer

5 out of 5 eggsSecond time!

Pros: This is my second order. I was surprised with how well they worked, that I'm buying another. Faster than my wifi.

Cons: In the past 10 years I've used Newegg, there is usually something I can say as a con, but with these, I can't think of one.

Other Thoughts: I've read where others have had some problems. I don't know why, unless it's just coincidence they have purchased a bad one. For me, I must have been lucky. I did notice someone states it won't work with a power strip. In the instructions, it actually states not to use a power strip, to connect directly into the wall outlet. I would highly suggest if you purchase them, read the instructions that come with it. Because there is very important information that if not followed, will not give you the high speeds you are looking for. They outperform my Netgear 750 N router, easily. I stream videos from room to room, from computer to tv. I have a 2 TB hard drive connected in my main living room, and computers set up to play the movies through Windows Media center. There is no buffering during playback, plays the vids flawlessly. I would recommend these to any novice looking for something better than wifi.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Product

Pros: Plug and in play
no need to install software or anything
no lag

Cons: non

Other Thoughts: I was looking for a way to expand my Wifi around the house a bit more this was the answer.
for the price I got it at I bout 3 sets and each work right out of the box no problems.
No need in type in long passwords for wifi. it was well worth the money I paid for it. I got one hooked up to 2 PS3's, a Bluray Player, and my desktop.
as I said its it plug in play and you will have it through the house as long as you have this adaptor.

4 out of 5 eggsWorks with Trendnet

Pros: I recently moved my home office across the house. I already have two TrendNet 200Mbps bonus outlet models, and a reviewer said these D-Links worked with them. Since these were on sale, I decided to chance it just to see if they would work on the same powerline network. The answer is a resounding Yes. I'm getting better speeds than my wireless N router, and can see every device on all three powerline adapters (even though they're two different manufacturers).

Finally, keep in mind that if you need to use these, your router is probably far from the device you need to hook up to it. 200Mpbs speed is a pipe dream, period. But I've tried every wireless repeater and WAP out there, and could never get a clean or fast enough connection to avoid hi-res hiccups. In my experience, these WILL get you a more consistent connection, superior to wireless for HD music and videos.

Cons: Would have liked a bonus outlet, like the Trendnets have. But at this price, and working across manufacturers, I can't complain.

Also, these seem to want to wiggle out of kiddie-safety power outlets at the slightest touch. Probably the outlet's fault. So don't touch 'em, and they'll stay plugged in.

Another problem to consider with this otherwise great product -- it has to be plugged directly into your outlet. This means no UPS power backup. Any power failure, hiccup, or brownout means you lose connection until it comes back. Conversely, chances are most of you reading this have your Internet modem, routers, switches, and wireless access points on battery backups, so hiccups won't kill your connection.

Other Thoughts: I am a huge fan of these devices. If they keep improving, it'll be nice to be able to back them up with a UPS behind them.

5 out of 5 eggsEasy Setup

Pros: As easy to setup as they describe: you plug one end into the router, and the other into your computer, and it all works perfectly and the first time. Very adequate transfer speeds as well.

Cons: None.

5 out of 5 eggsD-Link Powerline AV Mini Adapter

Pros: It works as advertised. I've been using 4 of these units in various rooms in my home because wireless has always been unreliable regardless of which wireless router I use. I plugged these in, they connected instantly and provide a constant connection for my PlayStation 3, network enabled television and Blu-Ray player.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: I definitely recommend these for anyone who has issues connecting to their wireless network. They work.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks perfectly

Pros: Does exactly what it advertises. I'm getting the same speeds at the outlet that I get at the router.
