5 out of 5 eggsAND for FREE

Pros: Got this for free with a D-link order and it works Grate! Better then the D-link access point it connects to.
Very EZ to setup, I use it as a repeater

Cons: slow to start if moved

Other Thoughts: It's a keeper

1 out of 5 eggs

Pros: It was free with another purchase. Small. easy to use. pretty straight forward.

Cons: Since it was free, the only use I wanted from this was to use as a repeater. At first, it seemed to work but after a period of time it started to fail. It got to the point where it wouldn't even connect to the network. I tried resetting it with no success.

Other Thoughts: The only thing I tested this was to use it's repeating function. I never bothered messing with it for any other purpose. Everything else may work fine with the device I have, but I have no reason to bother with it.

1 egg because one feature it has is that you can use it as a repeater. Since I can't use it as that and every other feature is pointless for me, then it would have been a useless device for me to buy. If I could careless about it being a repeater and everything else would work, I may give it 3-5 eggs. But I would have never tested it as a repeater.

5 out of 5 eggsNeeded Wi-Fi for Tablet

Pros: Need to add Wi-Fi access point to my wired home network. Just added to open router port did some minimal setup Bango Tablet now connects to internet.
Did need to turn power output down as factory setting allowed neighbor across the street (about 275ft) to get enough signal strength to connect and use at factory default.

Cons: None I can think of.

1 out of 5 eggsD-Link SharePort Mobile

Pros: Size. Price seem like a bargain on sale.

Cons: It doesn't want to work as a repeater, no matter what I do. Very buggy setup. Not user friendly. No manual included. You have to download the manual offline as a .pdf file.

Other Thoughts: I tried to set this up as a repeater on two different networks, both having DLink routers already. On our work network, it would setup, then 15 minutes later, drop the internet connection forcing me to go through setup again. I got tired of that and brought it home to try to set up on my home network. It won't even try to set up using WPS. I've had DLink networking for several years, and this is the worst piece of DLink equipment I've ever had. It's going back. Maybe if you want to use it for a hotspot, it might work, but forget about using it as a repeater on an existing DLink system. If I could give ZERO eggs, this item would deserve it. Badly done DLink.

5 out of 5 eggsIt really works

Pros: It's easy to set up. I set the switch to a wifi hotspot and plugged it in. I used the D-Link app on my iPad. No muss. No fuss. It works.
My plan is to plug into the A/C plug in the car so the kids can connect their iPods via WiFi and play their head-to-head games. Also tried a couple wifi walkie talkie apps. Great. I intend to hook my 64GB Patriot USB stick to see if I can serve moves off it. I'm so pleased. Bear in mind I didn't hook it to my internet network because that is not my reason for buying. However, I'm quite sure it would be a breeze. I don't know how they could make this thing any smaller without using a different style of ethernet and usb port.

On second thought, I think I'll plug it in outside while we play in the yard so I can have internet out there whenever we aren't using it in the car.

I love this little gadget.

Cons: The only think I don't like is the little "one touch" configuration button is exactly where you would put your finger when you unplug. I wish it was near the bottom of the unit. Bad design choice but the gadget is so handy I can overlook that little mistake.
