5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Low-priced
Gigabit speed
zero config

Cons: Lightweight (the cables tend to try to pull the switch off of my desk, some two-sided tape would fix this)

5 out of 5 eggsNice little 5-port switch

Pros: Does what it is intended to. Working for a few months without a single glitch.

Cons: None really. Just works. As simple of an Ethernet switch as it gets.

Really minor: power LED looks kinda similar to 1 Gbps link LED (green). I wish it was a different color.

Other Thoughts: Once you start plugging stuff in, you may realize you may going to need more ports. Make sure 5 is enough. I thought I will use 2-3 ports max, and by now all 5 ports are already in use.

5 out of 5 eggsVery good

Pros: Compact, modern, cheap

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: Opened the box and was like "oh my g, it's so cute". I didn't realize how small it is compare to the netgear one I have.

1 out of 5 eggsBUNK

Pros: Newegg

Cons: DLink I never had luck with DLink but was on sale and BAM it died but expected with DLink. I have to give one star.

Other Thoughts: I should of known any DLink product would be junk and fail. Had in service for less than 90 days and died. CPU's or other devices show no network connection but the LED's on unit are active. JUNK anything is better than DLink

5 out of 5 eggsgood lil investment

Pros: This thing does exactly what I wanted it to do. I got nephews who have ps3's & Black Ops 2, but no Internet. So I bought this switch with the intent to connect 4 ps3 console's and make my very own LAN Party... and what do u know, it worked like a charm!

Cons: none really

5 out of 5 eggsHappy with it.

Pros: Compact design
Gigabit Speeds
Jumbo Frames

Cons: None really

Other Thoughts: I haven't really pushed this switch and put it through its paces. I just needed something quick and simple to add to my gigabit network in my house to add more PC's and other network devices.

4 out of 5 eggsMeets needs for small switch

Pros: Needed a small, power efficient switch to share a network connection with our media players.
Current day DVD/Blu-ray players and receivers come with ethernet ports for web apps and upgrading firmwares and the like. We wanted to connect our home theater to the network for streaming media and pulling Netflix content.

After looking around I found this sucker for $20. Cheap, fast, power efficient. Had to get it.

After install all things are working well. All devices are connected and able to perform their network functions.

Cons: Power connection is on the side of the switch. It's odd. Not really in the way, but I am used to having power in the back and having this on the side kind of threw me off.

The switch is hidden from view, back in our cable room, but if you are planning on showing it off in a cabinet or something, just know that it won't fit flush with all other components.

5 out of 5 eggsIt works

Pros: No problems with my install. I have it behind my media cabinet to share my single connection with a BluRay, Wii, etc. No problems watching Netflix, so it works as I intended it.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: I switched to D-Link after having problem after problem with another well known consumer network device maker. Haven't had a problem with any of their products.
