1 out of 5 eggsYou Get What You Pay For

Pros: Price, size...

Cons: ...everything else.

Other Thoughts: Bought in February because I had a few devices (desktop PC, Raspberry Pi, Ouya) that I wanted to use on wired ethernet and the router was on the other side of the room, so I only wanted to run one cable along the baseboard molding to the entertainment center. Took this out of the box, tested it to make sure it turned on, noticed that the lights came on and it made a very faint but noticeable high-pitched whine, but figured that once the PC was running I wouldn't notice. I then put it back in the box until I got the 3 new cat5 cables I needed to hook everything up. Fast forward ~70 days once my procastinating self acquired the short cat5 cables and of course it won't turn on. I tried other plugs to be sure but now it's just a tiny paperweight. Not sure how it could have died sitting in the box for 2 months unplugged, but I'd save myself the trouble and buy a switch that won't die when you breathe on it.

5 out of 5 eggsDlink Go SW 5G

Pros: Price, features. Easy of setup, size

Cons: I have put many of these switches in place. I am not pushing their limits in any ways, often just needing to add a second device to a single jack, but I have had zero issues so far. Good price, Gigabit, no problems. Good switch

5 out of 5 eggsWorks great!

Pros: Plug & play, excellent throughput

Cons: Another wall wart to plug in...

Other Thoughts: Plug it in and connect your devices. For the cost, it's and excellent gigabit switch.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Low-priced
Gigabit speed
zero config

Cons: Lightweight (the cables tend to try to pull the switch off of my desk, some two-sided tape would fix this)

5 out of 5 eggsNice little 5-port switch

Pros: Does what it is intended to. Working for a few months without a single glitch.

Cons: None really. Just works. As simple of an Ethernet switch as it gets.

Really minor: power LED looks kinda similar to 1 Gbps link LED (green). I wish it was a different color.

Other Thoughts: Once you start plugging stuff in, you may realize you may going to need more ports. Make sure 5 is enough. I thought I will use 2-3 ports max, and by now all 5 ports are already in use.

5 out of 5 eggsVery good

Pros: Compact, modern, cheap

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: Opened the box and was like "oh my g, it's so cute". I didn't realize how small it is compare to the netgear one I have.

1 out of 5 eggsBUNK

Pros: Newegg

Cons: DLink I never had luck with DLink but was on sale and BAM it died but expected with DLink. I have to give one star.

Other Thoughts: I should of known any DLink product would be junk and fail. Had in service for less than 90 days and died. CPU's or other devices show no network connection but the LED's on unit are active. JUNK anything is better than DLink
