Other Thoughts: I'm paying extra to get 75 megabit per second internet access from Comcast. My old Netgear router was only delivering 10 or 11 mps to wireless devices a foot away and speeds were much slower 50-60 feet away. I did my research and saw good reviews of this router. Bought it, set it up, and got 7.7 mps on a wireless device a foot away. So glad I spent my money (sarcasm)! This router is junk. Don't buy it.

Pros: tech support try hard to find solution on my problem
good range for Wi-Fi, fast speed Wi-Fi, excellent for watching hd movie on smart tv
it connect well with my dap-1520

Cons: have to reboot every couple day using Wi-Fi, i can connect to network but no internet access (firmware updated to last)

Other Thoughts: i wont recommend it until they find a solution to the need of rebooting to make my Wi-Fi network work

Pros: Fast Speeds, Easy to setup, good customer service (especially AR004214). Used it heavily and with the exception when I do something to it never have any issues

Cons: Firmware update caused issues so a bit more documentation on what to do would be good.

Pros: Good 2.4Ghz and 5 Ghz performance (when is working), excellent range too.
Good Work horse router!

Cons: I get occasional signal drop off on 5Ghz, occurs mostly during video streaming. The LED could show more activity (Doesn't really do much as it stays solid all the time) Hopefully, firmware update release will resolve the unstable signal issue.

Other Thoughts: Looking for more stability through future firmware update. Hardware is great for the price.

Pros: A+++ Router

Cons: operator error.

Other Thoughts: I put in my previous review how horrible this was. Now that I know my uplink and downlink settings where identical and not asymmetrical like they should be from the speed test, all is fine.

Pros: Nice browser interface.

Cons: This came with outdated firmware. It could only be updated manually. Also I get constant disconnects with SMART CONNECT, how dumb. I went back to my DIR-615.

Other Thoughts: times out too quickly, I wish there was a way to set that. Looking forward to some future updates. Overall everything else is great.

Pros: Return to more conventional mechanical design than the previous cylinder style. Far improved cooling than the earlier Amplifi line the case design was first used with. External antennae. Power switch built into case. New updated firmware UI. Incredible wired routing performance and total number of connections due to the dual core CPU.

Cons: Drastic reduction in user settings in the newer firmware UI over the previous "legacy" orange firmware UI. For power users D-Link is going overboard with the simplification program. I hit a maximum number of DHCP reservations of 20 with the new firmware. The new QoS is far more limited in this area than prior models, the opposite direction to be going in an era of bufferbloat. Tested on the 1.05B02 firmware which is the latest USA version at the time of this review.

Other Thoughts: I used this to replace a DIR-827 running in wired mode only (I do not use the wireless features and have both radios turned off). I would have gone 5 eggs if the new firmware had not been crippled so much that I could not even get 25 DHCP reservations or setup some default adaptive QoS.

Pros: It's a very reliable router! Having a big house required a long distance WiFi access for several portable gadgets around the house. I went with this router due to many technical specifications that I researched about online. If you have any issues, concerns or problems setting up the internet or WiFi here is the man that can make your worries go away: Marvin, Badge Number: AR004612.

Hands down, Marvin was able to assist me from step 1 and stayed patient with me throughout the process. It made everything go very smooth!

Pros: great range and performance on the 2.4ghz side of things. the interface is very easy to navigate.

Cons: constantly drops connections on 5ghz with all my devices. they support 802.11ac as well. called dlink and they sent me a new router. new one has the same issues. I bought the darn thing specifically for good AC performance. I now user is only as an N router. waste of money. I've updated to the newest firmware as well. no luck. the 15 device limit is not so great either.

Pros: Good product when it doesn't lose connection.

Cons: I'm having a problem with the router having lost connection every morning. I have emailed dlink 2 times now concerning this problem and to date (over 1 month) they have not replied to my emails or called me on this problem. This is not the dlink that used to be.

Other Thoughts: I've owned 3 other dlink routers over the years and the only time I had a problem in the past dlink was fast to respond and help rectify my problem.
I will not be purchasing another dlink product in the future.
