Pros: Dual band configuration was very useful and allowed me to place HDTV streaming devices on the 5gHz channel and general browsing on standard channel.

Cons: Unreliable. Given it's low purchase price, I elected to discard it rather than expend valuable time troubleshooting on the phone with mfr's tech support.

Other Thoughts: I generously gave it three stars... Perhaps something else is causing the problems I am experiencing, but the same laptop/phones/tablet with same modem and HSI worked perfectly with my ancient Linksys WRT54G; now there are a lot of dropped connections, spikes in reception strength, inconsistent speeds, set-up issues, and it flat out will not utilize DCHP at times. Yep, firmware is up to date, and two calls to D-Link were courteous and kinda helpful, soon after the problems and new ones arise.

I can literally hook up my WRT54, and forget about it... No drops, no weird unstable Baloney, just perfect functioning albeit at slower download speeds. When the D-Link DIR813 is working, it does achieve a very good speed test, fully up to wired speeds, but it is slower to load webpages. Maybe some of the range issues are because the power to the unit is only 5v, where every other WR I have had was 9-12v, thus more broadcast range and density? Glad I didn't pay more, and this experience has soured me on D-Link, having used their products going back many years. Thanks for reading.

Pros: My router quit working after 3 months. I thought it had simply died. I called D-Link tech support and Zhaina, the service rep, led me step by step to make some settings changings, such as installing new firmware. Sure enough, my Internet came back. I was really surpised and pleased with their service.

Cons: For whatever reason it quit working.

Other Thoughts: The two bands function as two separate Wi-fi routers with separate log-ins.

Pros: - The router is very easy to set up, plugged it in, had the ISP turn their unit to Bridge, reset the D-Link, everything works great!
- Good look, sturdy plastic.
- Great speed and reliability (within close range, see Cons

Cons: - Short effective range. Strong when view is unobstructed within ~10-15ft. Outside of that, especially 20-25ft and the speed drops drastically. (Still outperforms Comcast/Xfinity ARIS rental modem/router combo.)
- Gets into trouble running with more than 4 devices off of it. (To be expected for price point and class, however.)

Other Thoughts: - Great bang for your buck. Does what it needs to and does it to satisfaction.
- Would not use for an office / high-volume environment or in a building with lots of rooms / floors.
- Needs a longer power cable and some means of mounting to a wall (velcro, mounting points for screws, or an adhesive pad).

Pros: - Dual band
- Easy Setup
- 4 Ethernet ports

Cons: - None

Pros: - Small yet sleek design, fits well in the living room
- Dual Band signal allows me to separate which devices in the house are connected to each frequency
- Works easily with comcast internet
- For the price point, it is a good deal

Cons: - To run the router at its best efficiency, you may need to read a few short articles on routers (e.g. 5G vs. 2.4GHz, WPA vs WPA 2).

Other Thoughts: - To appreciate the full benefits of this router or others in its class, you need to make sure your technology supports AC routers. Older tech still works, but AC technology works best with this router. Unless you have significant bandwidth needs (then I recommend going with a more expensive router), this does well for home use with only a few devices accessing it (4-5 devices simultaneously in my house).'
-If you do have AC technology, make sure to connect your devices to the 5G signal for the best speed. I use the 2.4G signal for simple web browsing devices (email or reading articles).

Pros: - Relatively cheap

Cons: - Very poor range, was virtually useless outside of a 10 foot radius from day one
- Used it for less than a week before it died completely

Other Thoughts: The router has hit rock bottom and currently cannot connect to the Internet at all. I would not buy a DLINK again. Tech support was nice but could not help beyond the typical reset/reboot. Do yourself a favor and spend a little more on a better router to save yourself a similar painful experience.

Pros: None, maybe easy setup?

Cons: Very slow, keeps heating up, have to restart it very often. I placed my dying Apple AirPort Extreme (5 years old) and it works better than this D-Link. I will look to return it.

Other Thoughts: Cheap - what you pay is what you get. Very disappointed in D-Link. I thought they were a decent company, should have gone with anyone else.

Cons: I tried to enabled remote management and it does even let me configure. When I leave the IP address blank or *, it throws an error.

I called technical and these people are not trained to understand their own documentation. It clearly says, leave the IP address blank to allow All to manage. When I input blank, it throws error saying wrong IP address.

This is a bug and the level-3 tech support, the highest level have no understanding of what this filed meant and were suggesting some to put the IP address of the router on WAN. If they don't even understand something this simple and what the documentation says, it is sad, sad, sad.

The technicians are just reading from some book.

Pros: Cheap and fast speeds at close distance when it works

Other Thoughts: I bought this to replace my Linksys N router that I've had for almost 4 years. At this price point it seemed like a good deal. Easy to set up, took me all of 5 minutes. Speeds were fast, both wifi and ethernet getting identical maximum speeds from the modem, on 5GHz that is. 2.4Ghz saw a drop in speed but expected being only N standard. Range however is limited with my existing Roku and tablet having issues keeping connection at the same locations that used to be stable with my old router. One of the main reasons for upgrading was to potentially get higher speeds at those ranges, but seems the slight increase in speed is negated by the inability for this router to maintain a stable connection. I changed the channel and will try a few different settings over the next couple of days before making a final decision, but so far not looking good.
