1 out of 5 eggsWeak card

Pros: Simple install. OK for very short distances or same room.

Cons: Like most PC cards with fixed mast antennae, this one cannot connect well with any distance from the source signal.
I have worked with many different adapters and this one is particularly bad at holding a connection or even being able to connect. Any USB adapter or PCI card with a tethered mobile anntenna will outperform it.

Other Thoughts: Skip this one. Whoever thought a tiny antenna buried behind a PC was a good idea?

5 out of 5 eggsREAD ME READ ME

Pros: I am a highly certified computer systems technician.
Trust me I have this card in my own PC, great buy,
dirt cheap. You may have to go to the manufacturer's website to get the latest driver(software) for it to work properly because the cd they give isnt the best. Otherwise everything works great. Thanks Newegg!

Cons: CD that comes with it isnt the best,
customer should go to the manufacturers website
which is zonetusa.com to obtain latest drivers.

4 out of 5 eggsWorks

Pros: The software provided with this card is very straight forward and provides some monitoring tools that could be usefull for monitoring network activity.

Cons: The card did not seat properly in the PCI slot the first time around. This is probably more due to the case then the card, however. Also, the range on this card is not good at all. The computer I had this in was in direct line of sight of the wireless router, no obsticles and I was getting 56% signal strength.

Other Thoughts: For the money this card is a good choice for a home office with the wireless router in the same room.

5 out of 5 eggsNot Bad.

Pros: For the Price it's a good receiver. I'm pretty computer savvy, and had it installed in no time. Ran into problems with the software end of it though. Ended up just re-installing windows cause of problems with two other ethernet ports being used. Had some conflicting issues. However, now everything is running smooth.

Cons: Don't use the software installed for it, only use the drivers off the cd. Ur better off using the Windows Wireless settings.

Cons: Works with Vista but if you have any more than 2GB of RAM, the computer will not be able to install it.

4 out of 5 eggsCould be worse.

Pros: I get a full connection (5 bars), but my wireless router is very close by; it's on the first floor, almost directly under the second floor that this computer is on. Windows XP installed the driver no problem.

Cons: To connect to my WPA protected network, using Windows XP's built-in WiFi manager, I had to go into advanced mode and enter the password & SSID into the prompt first. Without doing that, Windows would just tell me that it can no longer connect to the network, never prompting me for a password.

XP 64-bit users beware! The drivers are 32-bit only.

Other Thoughts: Didn't try the supplied software.

4 out of 5 eggsFor thirteen dollars, what do you expect?

Pros: Although I've never heard of Zonet,I took a chance on this card.I spent a total of 20 bucks on it and it's a fair assumption that I got my money's worth.I plugged it in a empty slot inside my PC and installed the drivers off the CD that came with it.That's it.Mine wasn't DOA and it didn't die out after three weeks. It works just fine.

Cons: Outside of the drivers on the CD,you're probably better off letting windows manage your wireless connections.Zonet's software is not good at all.

Other Thoughts: My computer is a three year old E-machines with a 80GB hard drive and I barely know how to use it.I say that to show some people that you don't need the most cutting edge of cutting edge technology to make this card work.

1 out of 5 eggs

Pros: cheap, it looks like a wireless card...uses a respectable marvell chipset.

Cons: mine was defective right out of the box - windows code 10. no amount of new drivers or slot configurations would fix it. didn't work in 3 different machines.

Other Thoughts: simply put, it's not worth any amount of money if it's defective. also build quality is obviously very poor - board has excessive solder and flux, antenna connector was bent so the included antenna couldn't screw all the way down - possible reason why people get such bad reception from the card.

rebate process is fairly painless.
