5 out of 5 eggsWorks all the time, everytime

Pros: easy straightforward
works with HP 5P

Cons: A little pricey, but works great, simple.ez pz

Other Thoughts: After a few dead ends with competing products, I bought this one and installed it in a couple of minutes. It has worked seamlessly ever since, I wish all computer geegaws had this bulletproof property

5 out of 5 eggsPerfect

Pros: Been using it about a month. Fits inside my HP 6mp. Prints like it should from XP, Vista, and Ubuntu. Prints from my wired as well as my wireless machines.

Cons: Nope

Other Thoughts: Been running this for a month, nonstop. It has 6 machines printing to it. Half wired half not. I always wait a month or two before posting on hardware to make sure it is reliable. This definitely is. Set it and forget it. It just works.

5 out of 5 eggsTiny awesome Print Server

Pros: I can't believe how awesome this works for under forty bucks. HP move aside.

Cons: NONE! Does what it says.

Other Thoughts: Don't use the CD. To configure, just set your PC to 192.168.0.100. The default IP of the Zonet is 192.168.0.10. So simple its silly. I changed it to my subnet, and then changed my IP address, and bango. DONE! I used it on a HP1200. I needed it small enough where it would fit inside the printer, and it does. ;)

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: It works perfectly; it is small. There is a much more detailed manual available on the manufacturer's website. One again, Newegg processed and shipped like lightning.

Cons: The manual was almost worse than useless (starting with when it suggested connecting this router with a USB cable). The website is better, but not by much.

Other Thoughts: Kudos to Ralphy for detailing his setup process. Would have been a lost cause without him. Takes some patience to set up if you have a nonstandard subnet, but it works.

4 out of 5 eggsEasy to replace old print server

Pros: Price, Size, Ease of Use

Cons: Had to change my IP address temporarily to set it up (not a big deal)

Other Thoughts: This is my third print server. The first was a Netgear, the second a Hawking and now this ZoneT. The other two have ended up eventually locking up my router. THis seems to be their favorite mode of failure.
Since I already had installed and uninstalled utilities for two servers, I was happy to find the review from Ralphie to create an IP port instead of using the utilities.
THis was fast and easy. I hope to get a couple of good years out of this one. Maybe more.

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent Print Server Port

Pros: Very easy installation with the provided CD install software and instruction booklet. I am using it on a Dlink 1G Gaming Router (DGL-4100). The print server works great on the four different PCs in my home network.

Cons: none

4 out of 5 eggsGood Value

Pros: Quick, easy set up. didn't use the included utility, so I can't coment on that.
Newegg and UPS delivered quickly, as usual.

Cons: Included documentation is on the poor side. On-line manual is a bit better.

Other Thoughts: I didn't want to spend much for a print server with a Centronics interface since my next printers will probably have USB. Hardest part of the job was cutting out the opening on the back of the LaserJet 5P to accept this device. It fit my LaserJet 6P without modification, though. One could get a much better manual by spending much more for a big name print server, but this offers much more bang for the buck. For the same money, I'd rather have three of these than the last big name print server I bought!

5 out of 5 eggsWorks real good

Pros: Easy to install. Easy to configure.

Cons: No major complaints. It took a bit of trial and error to get it to be recognized the first time.

Other Thoughts: I like it since I completely forgot about it after I installed it and configured it. Did not have to really look at it much after I configured all my computers to recognize it.

5 out of 5 eggsVery Simple if You Know How To Configure Network Printers

Pros: -Easy to use web interface.

-Quick setup if you know how to configure network printers.

-I set up three Windows machines and my HP LaserJet 6P in under ten minutes.

-Did not use included CD.

Cons: -Manual not that great.

Other Thoughts: Here's what I did:

1. Plugged print server into printer and into switch.

2. Turned on printer and print server.

If your network is not the 192.168.0.x network, do steps 3-8. If not, skip to step 9.

3. Changed computer IP so it is in the same subnet as the print server (in this case changed computer to 192.168.0.11).

4. In a web browser, went to http://192.168.0.10 (the default printer server IP).

5. Clicked Setup and then clicked on TCP/IP.

6. Changef IP address to an unused address on my network (in my case, I changed it to 192.168.1.15).

7. Clicked Save and Restart.

8. Changed computer IP back to original IP (in my case 192.168.1.10).

9. Went to Start | Settings | Printers.

10. Clicked Add Printer.

11. Chose Local Printer (do not detect Plug and Play).

12. Chose Create a new port and picked Standard TCP/IP Port.

13. Typed in the IP address of the print server (in my case, 192.168.1.15).

14. Selected the make and model of my printer to inst

5 out of 5 eggsGood Product

Pros: This was quick to get going: it took just over an hour to network the printer and install it on four PCs.

Cons: It would be difficult without the CD-ROM.

Other Thoughts: Good product
