5 out of 5 eggsWorks Like a Charm

Pros: Inexpensive, external antenna and cable, low profile card.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: Threw the disk away. Installed right away in 32 bit Ubuntu Linux. Been running solid ever since. No problems at all. Newegg shipping rocks.

1 out of 5 eggsPractically Worthless

Pros: You can move the antenna to improve signal

Cons: Flakey software, signal strength is a joke.

Other Thoughts: Spend a little more money and buy LINKSYS.

3 out of 5 eggsLacking something

Pros: Easy to install and the remote antenna allows placement for best signal

Cons: No information provided to allow completely automated network connections to be made at startup transparent to the end user.

Other Thoughts: Best I could do is place utility into the startup folder and then once the computer is started; the user must click on the OK button to close the utility and make the network connection.

4 out of 5 eggsPerforms as well as expected

Pros: Easy to install, works with XPpro right out of the box. Inexpensive. Versatile antenna placement options.

Cons: Installation guide mostly useless if you have custom network configurations like static ip addresses.
System tray icon does not show signal strength.

Other Thoughts: Had to drop the executable into the startup folder to get it to autorun.
Antenna cable adaquate for most applications but could use another foot or two for optimum placement.
Antenna base could be a bit heavier/wider to keep in place/upright.

4 out of 5 eggsAdequate

Pros: Great price. Worked out of the box with 32-bit Vista Business edition. Got a 2bars and 54mb link through 4 walls across the house

Cons: I did get the code 10(could not start the device) error the first day I had it.

Other Thoughts: I was able to get my adapter working again by removing it, running windows, and then reinstalling the device. After doing it the first day I had the adapter it has been running great ever since.

1 out of 5 eggsSoftware stinks!

Pros: Computer recognized the card right away. Antenna makes it easy to put on top of the table, desk, etc, to get better signal.

Cons: Software on cd-rom did not work for XP. Downloaded updated driver from zonenetusa with the same results of "missing files" error. Also tried Microsoft update with no success. Box says certified for Vista, but obviously does not work with XP! If you are using XP, find a different card!
