4 out of 5 eggsWorks great in Windows 7, but useless for XP

Pros: Works flawlessly in Windows 7

Cons: Could not get it to work at all in Windows XP. Discontinued product from a dead company- why am I reviewing this?

Other Thoughts: I bought this when I was still on Windows XP. It worked once, then Windows could never see it again, even after numerous driver installs and registry tweaks.

I only review it now because I recently upgraded to Windows 7, and my Rosewill NIC is pretty unreliable, so I connected this Zonet up for the heck of it (it was still mounted to my desk). Windows found it, installed its own drivers, and it has run flawlessly for weeks now. I guess the ugly duckling turned out to be a beautiful swan after all!

**Doesn't matter anyway, since the company is dead.

5 out of 5 eggsEasy!

Pros: The unit does it's job flawlessly. Unlike the linksys adapters that require fancy installations, this plugs right in and works in seconds. The connection is stronger than what I used to get with my linksys adapters as well and has not dropped connection not even once.

Cons: Larger than some adapters I've used before.

Other Thoughts: I would not think twice to purchase this again if I had to and the price is just right for a great performer!

2 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Cheap, compact

Cons: Worked on linux (ubuntu) with hacks, than after some linux upgrades stopped.
Gave it to my friend to use under windows xp. Drivers from web site could not recognize the device. The web site looks like a joke. TP-LINK TL-WN722N required no configuration at all, plug n play and cost less.

5 out of 5 eggsDoes Exactly What It Should

Pros: Had my cousin come over to help hook up my network including this and no problems. Its being running a little over a month and no problems so far. For the sale price it can't be beat and the range is great.

Cons: None

5 out of 5 eggsDarn good wireless adapter

Pros: Comes with easy setup software. It has been under constant use since 11/2010 and it's still going. Using it as an Access Point to provide wireless for other machines. Love this thing really. And it was cheap!!

Cons: None

5 out of 5 eggsDoes what it's supposed to

Pros: It does what it's supposed to. It's compact and has pretty good reception. Also, for its size and weight it's pretty durable. This has seen some painful drops and still functions perfectly.

Cons: None

4 out of 5 eggsGood for cheap

Pros: Hassle free. Cord isn't that long but it still allowed me to move it around to get the best signal possible. Was a real bonus with poor wireless signals in my basement. After 4 years of use the antennae got pretty mangled and loose. Still works!

Cons: I assume it got average signal coverage, don't really know too well I never needed to try another USB adapter. I know it at least was good enough for casual web activity. But for the price thats still pretty good.

Other Thoughts: I needed a cheap adapter I could use on my old laptop, it moved on to my desktop supporting it through XP and W7. Retired it last year because I went wired, but I'm sure it still works.

3 out of 5 eggsVERY cheaply made

Pros: CHEAP

Cons: The problem many people, I believe, are having with this item is not the USB cable, but rather they are afraid to push the cable into the unit for fear it will break (yes it's that cheaply made). I was about to toss this and assume it was a dud, or the cable sucked, or whatever when I decided to give the cable a good push into the unit. next thing I knew, my Windows 7 unit chimed that it recognized the adapter and it began working. So 3 stars for the hassle, no idea how long it will last.
