4 out of 5 eggstough adapter!

Pros: always seems to work as long as im close enough to any AP. and my laptop runs 24/7.

Cons: nothing

Other Thoughts: my son pulled my laptop off of the couch, and it landed on its side, bending the adapter slightly but it still works!

Pros: Card works and I got the rebate back in less then a month.

Cons: No Problems

Other Thoughts: You cna spend a lot of money on a more expensive card but this one will do the trick. Good Range.

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent Purchase

Pros: Easy setup, worked right out of the box.

Cons: none thus far.

Other Thoughts: I bought this for use under linux on my dell laptop. I am completely new to linux, but this setup very easily under Mandriva 2006. I know other reviewers complained about poor signal range, and I origanally thought the same. My connection strength shows up very weak, yet my connection speed when browsing and downloading is just as fast as my dell wireless adapter under windows connected at full strength. I would highly recommend this product... you just can't beat the price. And of course can't beat newegg. Ordered Monday around 11pm, was here Wednesday when I got home from work.

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent!

Pros: Super cheap, connected with XP drivers all on it's own, from in it's plastic wrapper to surfing on laptop in five minutes with no headaches, excellent signal strength.

Cons: None that I can see!

Other Thoughts: Another reviewer mentions the range may be less than others, but I rarely try to access points other than home and Starbucks, so range isn't really an issue.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat Price, Great Hardware/Software

Pros: This is a great unit. I have windows xp pro with P4 2.8 ghz 512 mb ddr Ram and the wireless works fine. Just plug it into the slot and XP automatically reads the card. Make sure you install the software. It has an indicator that tells you the strength of the wirelss reception.

Cons: NONE

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: cheap, linux friendly, can work in Managed, Monitor and Master (pending driver update from rt2x00.serialmonkey.com) modes

Cons: not the best working range in the industry, but still acceptable.

Other Thoughts: this card uses rt2500 chipset. the best thing about this chipset is that it is natively supported in linux rt2x00.serialmonkey.com and it works in Monitor mode. You can imagine how many things you can do in Monitor mode (like running kismet ...). But it is special even among "linux guys". It is probably the only chipset with truely open source code, for it does't use any close-source firmware like TI's atx100/atx111 or Atheros ath-hal.

2 out of 5 eggsWouldn't work for me

Pros: Inexpensive, and works for many other folks. You can actually reach Zonet tech support and they try to be helpful.

Cons: Does not work in my configuration, a Dell Inspiron talking to a D-Link wireless router. My Linksys card works fine, however.

Other Thoughts: I tried configuring the card both through Windows and through the driver provided with the card. Neither worked. I could get a connection but it kept switching on and off. No idea why.

5 out of 5 eggsover all, good

Pros: With the latest drivers, and a good Access Point, the range is good.

Full Linux Support

Cons: none realy, well the label on it looks kinda cheesy, but hey, the laptop will cover that.

no netstumbler support

Other Thoughts: Bought 2 of these, for my P3 500 and my aunt's P3 900. Both have never accessed the internet faster.

Great cards.

5 out of 5 eggsIt's cheap, but not in quality

Pros: Great range, great price.

Cons: None, really.

Other Thoughts: The range is excellent, but in G mode it is a bit less, which is expected, as my notebook card (internal Intel 2200 b/g) also acts like that.

My router (wrt54g v2) stays on my bedroom and I can pick up a signal on the first floor. The distance (straight line) between the AP and the Zonet card is like 15 meters, at most, but there are countless brick walls between them, like 5 or 6.

I tried to test the maximum range, so I tested in B mode. Anyway, I was very satisfied. In G mode it also works great, no complains.

So, I couldn't believe a card at this price could offer this much.

As always, very satisfied with Newegg.
