4 out of 5 eggsPatience pays...

Pros: - Cheap
- Works (see notes)
- Decent range
- Power requirement not too bad

Cons: - Lackluster support (no e-mail response)
- Wish it supported WPA (limit of OS really - not the card)
- Bright blue LED is a tad obnoxious

Other Thoughts: Bought this over 1 year ago for my Axim X5 (on Win CE 2003). Couldn’t get it working at first. Tried all drivers (even PerfectPrism generic drivers!). Dug it out today to see if I could get it working. YES! New drivers on XteraSys site are good.

Be sure to verify the FCC ID on back of card to get proper drivers. Also, Win CE 2003 uses the 4.2 drivers. Previous downloads were not particular to card, just version of Win CE – probably why it didn’t work properly at time of purchase.

1 out of 5 eggs

Pros: It closes the slot/keeps dirt from getting in, if you lost your dell holder piece for it.

Cons: Crashes your device
If you get it working it works for about 1-5 minutes then freezes your device.
Does not recognize the card even when you install the drivers multiple times.

Other Thoughts: I definitely don't recommend this

5 out of 5 eggsWorked Great Once I had the right driver

Pros: Works great for me! I was worried about the price being so low because you usually get what you pay for, but no disappointments here.

Cons: It didn't have the driver I needed (I have a HP iPAQ 2215) so I went to the Xterasys website and downloaded it from there. It immediately connected after installation.

Other Thoughts: My order arrived super quick and I couldn't be happier with my purchase from newegg.com! They notified me of everything, even tracking info. I would recommend to anyone.

3 out of 5 eggsNo Driver for Win2003SE

Pros: Price, picks up wifi signals. Great for google maps mobile.

Cons: The included dirvers did NOT work with windows mobile 2003 SE, in fact no driver was included for that version on CD. Had to fiddle around and search the internet for an hour plus to get the correct intersil driver for 2003SE. Sticks up quite a bit, no style points. Drains PDA battery much faster when in use, to be expected. No email tech support from company, zippo responses to questions.

Other Thoughts: Very frustrating installation with my Axim x50. Had trouble unintalling the WinCE3.0 files from PDA, need to clear the windows/startup files on PDA first. Now that I have the correct drivers and it WORKS, I am happy with the card, would recommend for price.

4 out of 5 eggsSweet Little Radio

Pros: cheap, intersil based, works with PRISM drivers on pocketPC 2003. Functions well with mobile web access, intellisync... WiFiFoFum :)

Cons: no netstumbler or VxSniffer compatability

Other Thoughts: worth the money

3 out of 5 eggsworks on Zaurus SL-5500, but takes some work

Pros: It's inexpensive and works well with orinoco_cs once properly configured.

Cons: On the Zaurus SL-5500 it took some work (replacement CIS) to get running right.

Other Thoughts: The card apparently has a bad CIS - at least per the hostap_cs, orinoco_cs, and prism2_cs drivers.

3 out of 5 eggsNO WPA For Dell Axim X5

Pros: Easy to pickup some good public campus hotspots.

Cons: I have to down-grade my home wireless from WPA to WEP.

Other Thoughts: I don't understand why you guys said it supported WPA? The manual says it does not support WPA, how can some of you get it. Please let me know.
PS:I use this for Dell Axim X5 with PocketPC 2003.

1 out of 5 eggsNot for Linux!

Pros: Nice form factor for my PDA.

Cons: Common drivers (hostap and oronico/orinoco) don't work with this adapter in both a Sharp Zaurus SL-5500, C-1000, nor my HP Omnibook 6000 laptop via a CF/PCMCIA adapter. The manufacturer says it's based on a a Intersil Prism 2 chipset, but the drivers can't find 'em or find a badly formed PCMCIA tuplet and refuse to load.

Other Thoughts: If you have a Linux running PDA, don't buy this card!

4 out of 5 eggsPocketPC Yes, Windows Mobile NO

Pros: This is a fantastic little card for use in a PDA. The card supports 802.11b and WPA TKIP.

Cons: Will not work under Windows Mobile 5 no matter what you do. I tried to build my own driver to work under WM5 but failed to find the wireless radio.

Other Thoughts: This card is fantastic for adding wireless to your PDA, but keep in mind the restrictions when going this route. I added an 802.11b AP to my network just so I could continue using this with my other devices, everything else in my network is running WPA2 and on 802.11 Draft N.

5 out of 5 eggsAnother Great Product From Newegg

Pros: Works great on my Dell Axim X5.

Cons: Took a little time to set up 30 min ,but then I have never done one before, just laptops and desktops.

Other Thoughts: I can't believe it works so well for the money. May need to unplug it and plugin once in a while.
