The TRENDnet TEG-PCITXR Ethernet adapter is a high-bandwidth network adapter that delivers high speeds ranging from 10 to 1000 Mbps. This network adapter is capable of auto-sensing connection speed, half/full-duplex modes, and MDI-X media type. For optimum utilization of network bandwidth the adapter utilizes the latest VLAN tagging. The bandwidth can be doubled to up to 2000 Mbps, making this adapter ideal for high traffic Power Server and Video-Conferencing Workstations. The card is compatible with 32-Bit PCI Local Bus Master high-speed operation at Rev. 2.2 specification.

Plug and Play installation ensures no need for external drivers. Its built-in FIFO (8K/64K) buffer decreases memory transfers overhead to minimize network congestion. Pros: No setup required with Windows 10. Upon boot up the OS found and loaded the driver without any intervention. Started communicating at 1000 Mbs immediately with my Cisco mini-switch.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: I would recommend this product to others.

Pros: Inexpensive, Excellent Tech Support

Cons: watch your drivers.

Other Thoughts: I ran this NIC without trouble for two years, then it began to drop connection to my TrendNet switch. A previous one egg review I wrote on this product quickly got the attention of Trendnet tech support which suggested I download a different set of drivers from their web site. This seems to have corrected my dropped connections. Thank you.

Pros: Easy to install - drivers installed automatically with windows 7 - arrived on schedule and in perfect condition

Other Thoughts: Installed in GA-8IG1000MK rev.2 motherboard without any issues. Be sure to go into bios setup and disable your onboard network adapter prior to installation.

Pros: I have had it running as my primary adapter for my home server for about a year now and it can handle high network load without any issues in fact i see more bottle necking through my router than the card

runs 24/7 and handles the load like a champ

Cons: would like to see more EMI shielding on the card

Pros: My onboard card went out, and I bought this for a replacment. It works at 1G and does what it is intended to do.

Pros: Suprisingly long lasting cards. I build many computers and regularly use these cards for people that need gig ethernet. My local PC store carries these (at 12 dollars!!) and didn't have any so I ordered one from Newegg. Software (driver) support is decent from Trendnet. Windows usually picks up the drivers automatically (realtek).

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: I picked this one up to replace a burned out (lightning strike) TrendNet gig NIC for a customer. The rest of the system faired well. The router, however, was a charred black piece of toast.

This is the 10th one I have seen blow like a fuse instead of taking the motherboard out. Highly advisable using a dedicated card just on this point. MUCH cheaper replacing a 20 dollar NIC than a 100$ plus motherboard.
