4 out of 5 eggsGood Product Bad Disk

Pros: The receiver works great after the drivers are installed.

Cons: The installation disk wouldn't work at all I had to download the drivers from the manufacturer just to enable it.

Other Thoughts: 9bucks for shipping and handling is a little excessive.

4 out of 5 eggsDifferent Than Pictured

Pros: Good range. Light weight, yet looks rugged.
Works as expected.

Cons: BIG. HUGE.
The Product I received was completely different than what is pictured, I received the correct model number and everything, but this is much bigger, and no status lights (which I really wanted).

Also, the usb extension cable included is actually clear/silver. It is way shorter than what is pictured, it's only like 3 inches long.

The sticker was on crooked on the bottom of the device.

Other Thoughts: I bought this to make my hp printer capable of bluetooth printing. I thought i could share the connection with my desktop, but nope. However, If i plug a flash drive/memory card in the printer, i can view files on my desktop.

So now I have to switch back and forth from pc to printer.

this is the actual product I got:

5 out of 5 eggsWorks Great in XP, but not Vista Ultimate x64

Pros: Good Range.
Was exactly what I was looking for.
Works under Linux (Ubuntu).
Reliable brand.
Works inside my computer (thick aluminum case).

Cons: Vista's bluetooth support is near
non-existent.

Other Thoughts: Bought this to install inside my Vista Ultimate x64 desktop, and it works well enough. With XP (on my laptop) when I tell my phone to send a file to the Laptop, it would automatically accept since its paired. Vista would ignore it unless I used the BT systray menu to tell it to receive a file.

5 out of 5 eggsIt just works.

Pros: 1) Well, as the title says.. it just works -- more than I can say for IOGEAR's version of the same thing.

2) Sturdy - very good contruction.. It even comes with a little dust cap.

3) The driver worked for me the first time with absolutely no fuss.

4) Lots of features - backwards compatible with Bluetooth V1.1, 1.2, comes with default support of Bluetooth 2.0

5) Accepted mass file transfers from my Nokia 3650 (which is Bluetooth V1.1) the first time & everytime with no BS.

6) Aesthetically pleasing.

7) Price - you could definately do a lot worse price & quality wise.

Cons: 1) If your USB ports are vertical this little guy will hog up just a little too much space thus not allowing you to plug in a second device above or below it. Horizontal USB ports won't have this problem.

2) No LED power on/status indicator light.

Other Thoughts: Installation notes: Follow the directions!! It will save you so much grief!

Other:

Windows XP Pro Corp Edition 5.0
Ubuntu Linux 7.10 (Have not tested on Linux yet)
Asus A8N32 Sli Deluxe
AMD Athlon FX-60
Seagate SATA II 320Gb X2

The only difference between this
(TBW-102UB) version and the TBW-101UB is power consumption - this version consumes a bit more.

2 out of 5 eggsYou get what you pay for

Pros: Small and convenient. Versatile, supports many functions. VERY cheap.

Cons: Software is dated, difficult to use, and also is from a foreign company with bad english translation. *YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO UPDATE DRIVERS TO FIX PROBLEMS. New versions are deliberately incompatible with dongle unless you purchase upgrade for "pirate reasons."*

I bought 3 Motorola HT820 headsets and 3 of these dongles for phone and PC use. All three sets have worked fine for months, aside from the general difficulty to use and lately increasing warping in sound.

Recently (and we suspect it might be from a Windows Update) They all stopped working (in 3 different locations, mind you) simultaneously. All have the same problem keeping the AV services running and will not run the AV service after it loses it. I have to turn the BT receiver off, close the software program, and start again to run the AV services again, only to repeat the problem. All devices are fully charged.

Other Thoughts: Unfortunately, because I only use bluetooth for one purpose, these headphones, the dongles are useless to me now despite their many different functions.

Also, I cannot review these functions since I do not use them. They could work just fine.

5 out of 5 eggsTrendnet Bluetooth adapter

Pros: I am using this with my Motorola V551 phone to transfer pictures and audio to and from my computer and it works excellent after taking a few minutes to learn the software. I would recommend downloading FAQ's from the manufacturers website. After doing this it is a breeze.

Cons: Software could be difficult to figure out without going to manufacturers website for help.

Other Thoughts: Worth every dime spent!!
