Pros: Good Connection strength for a good price.
Cons: A bit bulky (the picture for the product is outdated. The product received was fatter). The smaller these things are the better.
Another Con is that there is no product support beyond the usual yada yada. The adapter worker well for around two days, and then it became unusable because it wouldn't stop scanning networks, meaning that it would drop the connection for 5 seconds every ten seconds. I installed/deinstalled, enabled/disabled, stopped/started windows wireless a million different times in every possible combination to no avail. As I wrote, Trendnet's website was not of much use and I couldn't find anything helpful with google. As a last resort I tried to download the latest drivers of the chipset manufacturer which thankfully worked perfectly. I would rate my own experience as 1 star, but now that I can post a solution I'm giving it a 4 star rating.
Other Thoughts: In short: If the adapter keeps dropping the connection, download and install the manufacturers utility - ht tp://www.sis.com/download/ After selecting your OS, select "network driver" and then "SiS163 WLAN Controller". After downloading install the utility and drivers. You may need to manually update the driver for the device.

Pros: One of the best (and least expensive) wireless add-on options I've found. I've used this with Win 98, Win 2000, & Windows XP, on about 15 PCs, all without any issues. I sell this unit to my customers that need wireless for their homes or businesses. It works MUCH better than a PCI card on desktop units, and second only to an internal wireless on laptops. I've seen MUCH better range with this product than any others I've tested.
Cons: Slight heat issue, but never hot enough to create a problem or malfunction.
Other Thoughts: First experience with this unit was in an area where I was SURE I was going to need a range extender (upstairs at one end of house to basement at other end), but this unit connected with 68% signal at full speed! That sold me, and I've been selling it ever since.

Pros: Easy to use, works great with vista, comes with a USB extender that you can bend to point it in any direction, which is great for keeping it out of your cables and pointed toward the router
Cons: none, really. It's a little bulky, but that's to be expected from these adapters.
