1 out of 5 eggsJunk

Pros: Cheap

Cons: So many cons. Useless in Vista, no WPA2, outdated drivers, works in so few computers it's hardly worth the risk.

1 out of 5 eggsDo not buy

Pros: After installation of drivers the adapter stopped working on first boot itself,no tech support. Very dissapointed with trendnet quality for the first time.

Cons: Though it was 5$ after MIR but was total waste now, Return postage itself costs @7$.

Other Thoughts: New egg Customer support is awesome,

1 out of 5 eggsBurn Baby Burn

Pros: ... Newegg is replacing.

Cons: 10 Minutes after being plugged in, and moments after installing the driver it disappeared from device manager and began emitting a horrible burnt electronics smell...

Other Thoughts: I'll be emailing Newegg for credit for the shipping too. I am taking a chance getting a replacement. Now that i see others had the same problem, its even a bigger gamble.

Regardless if my replacement lasts, steer clear as the hassle is not worth it.

1 out of 5 eggsHorrible

Pros: New egg is very fast on shipping and easy to work with, replaced the unit with a different type without hassle. Thanks New Egg for your awesome customer service!

Cons: Horrible product. I ordered 2 of them. Went through every measure of testing to get these functional. The first one didnt even come on and i smelled an electrical burn emitting from the unit. The second one i tested came on for a split second on an XP unit after drivers were installed and it heated up extremely fast and burned out, again the all to well known electrica burn smell from the second unit. Both units were tested on an XP machine to started in a USB 1.1 port and moved to a 2.0 XP unit and from there a Vista machine with 2.0 USB. These units do not work and they are the worst products i have ever used.

Other Thoughts: Go with another unit, dont waste your time with this. The case is nice but the hardware inside is junk. Not a quality product. Save yourself the hassle and trouble. Go with a well known brand like a D-link, Linksys or Netgear. You may spent more but atleast it will work correctly.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Works great on a 7 year old Toshiba laptop. Once drivers installed it connected with my router and has worked flawlessly

Cons: None so far.

Other Thoughts: If you have a computer without WIFI, this is an inexpensive way to go.

2 out of 5 eggsPoor Quality

Pros: It connected!

Cons: The device would not maintain a connection and would lock up my system. Do yourself a favor and STAY AWAY FROM THIS PRODUCT.

Other Thoughts: I simply wanted a USB network adapter to connect to the internet. This product preformed poorly. This was my first miss at newegg. Very disappointed with product.

1 out of 5 eggsNo Work Windows 2000!

Pros: Cheap

Cons: Doesn't actually work with Windows 2000 as advertised.

Other Thoughts: I tried the drivers that came with it, which caused it to lose its ability to transfer data after about 3 minutes. The latest drivers from the mfg website simply didn't work.

1 out of 5 eggsTrendnet USB adapter

Pros: cute case

Cons: heated up every time--do not notice with other similar devices--then OVERheated --other devices work fine in same port, still do. cheap garbage

Other Thoughts: never buy trendnet--even the cute case --get one designed like a USB flash drive where cap is attached
