5 out of 5 eggsWorks Great

Pros: Great signal strength through multiple walls of varying materials inside a fabrication plant with lots of equipment (producing EM fields).

Using it to extend a wireless IP-Camera network.

Cons: Does not support 802.3af, so would not work with my PoE Switch. I had to use the injector, which meant I unexpectedly had to run 110v to the roof of the plant I was mounting this to. My fault for not reading better.

5 out of 5 eggs@ Lots of problems

Pros: The problem you had were more than likely not because of the device. Anytime you have soho un-managed switch's daisy chained together you will loose connection. If your AP was the third device and you connect more that one terminal, you will run into issues. Try swaping them and see if the one causing issues works fine when directly connected. If you need a signal repeater every 250 feet try an soho router. GL

Cons: none

2 out of 5 eggsLots of problems

Pros: Strong signal, easy to set up

Cons: We've owned several of these and use them as APs. Some of them continue to work great, but others drop out intermittently and become non-responsive. The problems seem to occur when placed behind several switches; the ones on a simple network (one router, maybe one switch) work fine. A Linksys AP placed in the same situation works fine. I wouldn't recommend this device unless you're looking for a world of frustration.

5 out of 5 eggsPerfect

Pros: Great design, waterproof, PoE, signal strength

Cons: setup a little tricky to figure out, manuals a little vague on how to do stuff.

Other Thoughts: I bought for use at camper. I setup the AP in my office to get it figured out. I then took it to the camper and hooked it up. I simply mounted it on the end of my deck and pointed it to the lodge, where the wifi is at, selected one of the 8 AP's it picked up including 4 that were past the lodge in someones yard. LOL

Plugged the other end into a WiFi router and broadcast the signal in my camper. Now I can surf inside on rainy days. I experienced no noticeable slowdown of the speed this way either.

Now I am thinking about getting 2 more to put wireless at my outbuildings.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks like it should

Pros: Have two of these setup as AP and wireless bridge (I think Trendnet calls it WDS mode). Works flawlessly at a distance of 800 ft with very good throughput. Configuration was not that difficult and they've been running 24/7 in all types of hot and humid weather without fail.

Cons: Only complaint I had was the hastle of getting a hold of another weather proof gasket for the ethernet jack. Other than that though, I've been very pleased.

Other Thoughts: About to buy another pair for another project and this is much easier and cheaper than running underground conduit.
