4 out of 5 eggsPower Consumption

Pros: Wall mountable, *power efficient(0W will kill-a-watt, so it's less than the amount it registers(<2W).

$6.99 each; free shipping. I went to buy more, but price went back up :( ; I don't think pricing should be left out of reviews! It helps others know what prices to watch for and not get hosed.

Cons: High REPORTED failure rate, short warranty(adding evidence to that).

Other Thoughts: I've read lots of reviews with high failure rates, and I've not owned long enough to say, so 4 out of 5 Stars for now.

The same manufacturer of the AC adapter seems to supply netgear with their adapters. Nice similar metal case also, hmm I wonder if these are manufactured like laptops are these days where some 'unknown' company manufactures devices for many different brands.. IE: netgear, trendnet ultimately come out of same factory/assembly line.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat little thing

Pros: The Ethernet outlets in my apartment had no switch to connect to, so this was the perfect box to connect my internet hub in all the rooms. I can stream HD from my computer to my PS3 no problem, even though it is not a gibabit ethernet device.

Cons: None yet; it is doing what it is supposed to do.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Got two of these when there was a nice discount on them. Does exactly as advertised.

Found out it can take a beating too. I wasn't paying attention and tugged on the wrong cable when I was messing with stuff under the desk. Flung it into the wall, hits a solid wood footstool on the way down, before landing on the concrete floor. Not a scratch on it, still worked perfectly!

Cons: I didn't buy more of these?

1 out of 5 eggsWorked for a month, then FAILED!

Pros: Works for up to a month

Cons: Does NOT work after a month. Quality Control issue most likely. Maybe I'll roll the dice and hope for a better one as a warranty replacement.

4 out of 5 eggsGood switch with high failure rate

Pros: Bought three of these over time. The switch performed well with decent throughput in a home network environment. One unit is still active on my network.

Cons: The units experienced a high failure rate. With two units operating one unit had an incorrect front display. Plug the cable into port 1, port 3 link would light up. The same for port 4,5,6. Port 7 & 8 showed up no where. Unit was removed and a spare unit put in its place. Spare power led would blink but not connect. No ports would light up with link or traffic. DOA

Other Thoughts: This unit has a good rating. I am satisfied with the performance of one unit. How did I end up with a 67% failure rate?

5 out of 5 eggsI like it

Pros: It works. Not much to it. Just plug it in and you're set. I really liked the small form factor.

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: I didn't take the size in to consideration when I purchased, and when i received it and realized it was half the size of average etherNet switch i loved it because it takes less space on my (already cluttered) desk.

1 out of 5 eggsDefective product

Pros: Newegg price and free shipping. (1 egg)

Cons: Stopped working after less than 12 hours, not days, not weeks, not years, but HOURS. (0 eggs)

Other Thoughts: Got it, plugged in ethernet cables, plugged in AC adapter. Everything working. Less than 12 HOURS later, power light still on, but no port lights on. Tested with different ports and different router, same result, power on but nobody home. Only paid $15 (Newegg promo code), so not worth cost of sending back. First and last TRENDnet purchase.

5 out of 5 eggsAmazing unmanaged switch

Pros: This works exactly like an unmanaged switch should

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: It's basic and amazing. If you want to screw with VLANs, don't look here.
