5 out of 5 eggsWorks great!

Pros: Does exactly what it supposed to do, quality build metal case, wall mountable, had for 1 year and no problems so far.

Cons: None so far, surprised for trednet product.

Other Thoughts: Using this switch to get 4 devices to connect to 1 linksys wireless adapter in my living room. Now my blu-ray, LCD tv, AV receiver and DVR can use my wireless adapter to connect to my router instead of trying to run a very long wire.

5 out of 5 eggsBuilt like a brick

Pros: All metal construction. Has some heft to it. Lights are not too bright

Cons: Can't handle 1 Gb speed, but for my purposes not needed. If you want 1 Gb speed, get the TEG-S50G model.

Other Thoughts: Bought this switch for the entertainment center to split the network connection between the PS3 and video streamer box. It does the job that a switch should do. What really impresses me about the unit is the construction. The case is all metal. When you hold it in your hand it feels like a paper weight. This helps eliminate the issue of the attached cords tugging the box all over the place.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat buy!

Pros: Got it for only $8.99!! Just hooked it up and it worked great. No software to install or play around with. 5 ports come in handy. All 4 network items (receiver, Xbox 360, LCD TV, and blu-ray player) I hooked up to the Trendnet switch are visible to my Belkin router. Now able to access all my media files on my pc and ITouch thru my receiver.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: You could buy a cheap wired router to perform the same function, but you have to change the subnet settings on it, and you lose 1 LAN port to the incoming connection. Why bother when this Trendnet switch is such a deal?

5 out of 5 eggsTiny Wonder

Pros: Eggsellent price! --get it on sale , but 6.99? foggettaboutit!

Small foot print--will fit anywhere

Low power usage

Works well with all my Home Theater components

Easy to set up - just plug n go

Cons: none so far but you do need to run wires......

Other Thoughts: If you don't need a lot of peripherals why get more than you need especially at this price???? A wired network is the way to go if you can run the wires--always a solid connection. I have mine hooked to a Dlink DR655 router and it had no problems recognizing it. After the Direct satellite contract is up I plan on building a new HT system using this as the sole input for the internet.........

5 out of 5 eggsThe switch you'll be using 5 yrs from now...

Pros: Nice little switch, seems well built. Metal case, small, low power.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: For years, I had bunches of little linksys 4 port switches kicking round -- the workhorse you could throw on your desk to share a network drop. Suspect this one will be around just as long.

Suggested use: always on Low power network sharing where only only one feed is available and several items need to share it and 1gb is not needed.

5 out of 5 eggsGreennet Switch

Pros: This is a real no brainer. Just plug in your cat 5 cable from your cable modem and your computer and go. I can't believe how easy this is to use

Cons: There are no cons unless you have a bank of computers and bought the wrong capacity switch.

Other Thoughts: Looking at buying the faster- 10/100/1000.
