Pros: * Fast connection * Status lights * Tech support by telephone was helpful even after 7 months of ownership
Cons: * Occasionally needs to be unplugged & replugged to get connection * Devices can get "out of sync" and fail to connect if you leave one of these plugged in without anything powered on and connected to the ethernet cable * Online tech support information is poor - multiple FAQs on TrendNet's site say different, conflicting things
Other Thoughts: These worked fine, plug-n-play, right out of the box. I use this to connect a wired camera to the router and also a computer to the router that is out of wi-fi range. This worked great for the first 3 months, then began requiring that I unplug and replug the adaptors to get a connection. Finally, they all sat there blinking "Power" but with no connection. It took a lot of time troubleshooting and finding mixed instructions before I just called them. The tech support agent was very hard to understand, but tried to help. He ended up not knowing anything specific about the product and sent me to someone else. This agent helped me reset the units (plug in, use paperclip for 40 seconds in reset hole, then unplug and replug WITH SOMETHING CONNECTED to ethernet port). This series of steps worked. He suggested that setting them up manually (with the Windows-only software) would permanently fix the issue, because the issue can happen again when you use the default settings.

Rating: 2/5Poor design
Pros: Very easy installation and good speeds
Cons: Poor design
Other Thoughts: I plugged one adapter to the modem and plugged the other adapter into the outlet for my computer. 10 seconds later I was online. It is that easy!
One big problem. This thing is just poorly designed. If you look at it, it obviously has to occupy the bottom outlet. The problem is that the top of the device sits too high and impedes the bottom third prong for the outlet above it. I have never come across a double prong surge protector. And these devices would presumably be plugged into an outlet next to a surge protector for a home theater or work station. So suffice it to say, the surge protector is just BARELY plugged into the wall because of this stupid design. Does this pose a fire hazard? What would happen if there is actually an electrical surge and half the plug is exposed because this stupid freaking device is so poorly designed?

Rating: 5/5Cool gadget, handy bridge
Pros: * Almost as good as a hard connection to the router. While my current use of them doesn't really go too far (probably about 15-20 feet), the connection is excellent and constant. * Works great, just be on the same circuit (I think) and don't have them plugged into a power strip or surge protector for the best results. * I've never had a connection drop, ever.
Cons: * Confusing to set up. The software is not very easy to understand at all. However, I think it's easily possible to just plug and play with them. It's been a little while since I've set them up, but once you get past a little general clumsiness of the software, they work great.
Other Thoughts: They seem to work great for getting to a dead spot. My house seems to have foil-lined insulation, or at the very least, something that cuts wireless signal off in some portions of the house. This really helped get network connection over there.
I really wish at least one end was also a wireless bridge. That'd be perfect.
Overall a great buy if you want as close to a actual hard connection as you can get.

Rating: 5/5Awesome
Pros: - Got a solid network connection to my shed - Works through two circuit breaker panels and 500 feet of underground wiring
Cons: Speed impact, but you can't blame this particular product for that.
Other Thoughts: Got 24mbps download speed vs 35mbps directly connected. I'll take it.

Rating: 5/5Just works
Pros: Plugged one end into a cat5 from cable model switch, other end into a TV's ethernet and it just worked. Nothing to install (and I have been told to avoid the bundled software). It just works, plug it in and go.
Cons: Actual speed you get is probably going to be lower than maximum due to your house wiring, but still on par with 802.11g connection, so not really a con.
