5 out of 5 eggsWorks like a charm

Pros: great connection - it connects to more things than my internal one ever did before it decided that it wouldn't connect unless it was on top of the router. It's small, and doesn't get in the way - it's great for my netbook.

Cons: Don't really have any. It's small, connects great, just what you expect a network adapter to do.

Other Thoughts: I can't imagine why others are having trouble with it connecting. Mine picks up everything in the neighborhood, it seems.

5 out of 5 eggsVery compact and very functional

Pros: Very small and compact, I have my computer in the same room as the router and do not have any problems at all.

Cons: Other people seem to have problems if router and USB adapter are in different rooms. But comon, what do you expect from something so small!?

Other Thoughts: I bought this because my cat was chewing the longer USB wireless

1 out of 5 eggshorrible reception

Pros: The tiny size is fantastic.

Cons: The reception is not good at all. I have two wireless adapters and did a comparison b/w the two.

The one i'm replacing (a Hawking something or other) is wireless G and I want to upgrade my network to N.

The only place the two are even comparable (in download speed) is when the computer is right next to the router (and i mean right next to it).

Upstairs, where I will normally be computing, this thing can barely even connect and has frequent drops.

Because i don't like things sticking out of my laptop, i went ahead and got the Diamond Wireless-N Range extender -- which is great btw.

Running same test, yes there is improvement, but where my previous G adapter gets something around 24Mbs, this one only does about 15-16. And it is only about 6 feet away w/ direct line of sight.

My signal strength is pegged at 100%, but the speedtest.net results are poor relative to the Hawking adapter (which is slightly larger)

Don't buy unless you are going to be in the same room as

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: As advertised. Easy to install. The compact size doesn't seem to hurt the signal reception.

Cons: None

1 out of 5 eggsNO range

Pros: Works great if you are in the same room as the router.

Cons: Bad range. Just going in the next room at about 30 feet distance. The adapter still shows over 50% signal but will not connect.

Other Thoughts: Already talked to tech support. They said my router signal was not strong enough even though the trendnet software showed over 50% signal strength.

1 out of 5 eggsTou get what you pay for

Pros: Very small. Cheap.

Cons: Not more than 64Mbps on N. Tried with several laptops and desktops against several access points (Cisco, Linksys, Netgear). 64Mbps was the max, no matter which distance. from a couple inches to 10 feet, 20 feet.
Sad enough, doesn't connect to anything under Linux.

Other Thoughts: Didn't bought this one at NewEgg. Going to exchange against good old copper.

2 out of 5 eggsKind of worked

Pros: It worked, drivers installed easily

Cons: Very low range, even with my relatively high range Wireless-N router, it wouldn't pick up the signal from farther away than about 20-30 feet

Other Thoughts: Would work well if I was closer to my router, so you should probably only buy it if you're close to yours.

3 out of 5 eggsWorks well, when it works.

Pros: Nice small compact size and good speed. Originally bought this to replace an old PCI Express G Adapter (to free up room for CrossFireX :D)

Cons: Dropped connections and connectivity issues. It worked well for a while, then I started having dropped connections. Tried in multiple USB ports with the same result. Uninstall/Reinstall drivers...same thing. Don't like the utility that MUST be installed for card to work...I would rather be able to let windows handle the connections and settings for the card.

Other Thoughts: I know others have had good luck with this one so maybe I'm just unlukcy :(

3 out of 5 eggsFine card, poor driver

Pros: Small. Tiny. Insignificant (in a good way). Did I mention it's very small.

Cons: The driver doesn't seem to work with Windows Vista built-in wireless management utility. Works fine if you install the Trendnet utility though. Very annoying that I have to have yet another piece of software to deal with though.

Other Thoughts: I didn't try the latest drivers. I may already have them (1006.0.614.2010), but Trendnet doesn't advertise which version you're downloading on the website. It just comes as a zip file which just contains setup.exe. When you run it, it tries to uninstall the driver and utility you've already install. I'm not sure if this is because I already have the latest version or if they just don't detect and upgrade.
