5 out of 5 eggspowerlined to the max

This review is from: TRENDnet TPL-305E 3-Port Powerline 200 AV Adapter Up to 200Mbps

Pros: works well for networking the whole house.

Cons: pain to reset.

Other Thoughts: like my review of the faster 4 port model. i'm very happy with these adapters. I have my whole house wired with plenty of devices hooked up. I hardly use a wireless connection anymore.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Powerline hub

This review is from: TRENDnet TPL-305E 3-Port Powerline 200 AV Adapter Up to 200Mbps

Pros: This thing is great! I have it connected to my Tivo, my Bluray player and my router in my living room. Not only does it act as a power line device, it's also a 3 port wired hub. My guess is a 4 port embedded hub controller with 1 port used for power line networking.
This unit is the main feed to my extensive power line network.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: My Condo is less than 3 years old so my experience is based on new power wiring.
That being said, I have never been disappointed in power line networking in general.
Because I'm looking at a

5 out of 5 eggsyes to powerline!

This review is from: TRENDnet TPL-305E 3-Port Powerline 200 AV Adapter Up to 200Mbps

Pros: Already had 2 netgear Powerline adapters I bought from a friend who let me try them out first. After years of trying to get a good wireless signal in the back part of the house, I found out that I should have gone with Powerline a long time ago! I bought the TRENDnet 3 port to add to the man cave so I could hook up my Blueray player and my backup PC. It works great, no setup needed, played nice with the other devices. I like the power saving mode.

Cons: None. Quit trying to get a good wireless signal in marginal areas and go with Powerline.

4 out of 5 eggsCheap, Fast, Compatible

This review is from: TRENDnet TPL-305E 3-Port Powerline 200 AV Adapter Up to 200Mbps

Pros: It's the cheapest Powerline AV adapter that includes a switch. It works well with other vendor's Powerline products. The management software included works with other vendor's equipment. Other vendor's software ignores the TRENDnet adapter.

Cons: It sticks waaaay out from the wall. There is no way to fasten it securely.

Other Thoughts: I would like a way to mount these adapters flush with the wall.

5 out of 5 eggsjdevo

This review is from: TRENDnet TPL-305E 3-Port Powerline 200 AV Adapter Up to 200Mbps

Pros: Super easy set up. Running network for 6 months with no issues.

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: Only way to go stream multiple video devices from multiple locations in the house. The multi-plug unit is great for connecting TV and Bluray to the internet.

5 out of 5 eggsWOW!

This review is from: TRENDnet TPL-305E 3-Port Powerline 200 AV Adapter Up to 200Mbps

Pros: Super easy to set up, works just like Trendnet said it would, prevented me from having to run wires throughout my house and walls to get the speed and connectivity that wireless could not provide.

Cons: None so far

Other Thoughts: I needed to make sure I had high speed access for my two sons and their computers. Both of them are gamers and have built pretty sophisticated gaming computers. I have charter cable at 18mbs and a dual band N+ Netgear router. In the past, wireless access did not provide the consistent connection that my gamers needed to have, so I was about to cut holes in my walls and run wired connections to both of their rooms - until I read about the dependability of using the powerline to conduct the internet connection. I looked at the online reviews for several manufacturers and concluded Trendnet was a solid performer. Once I received the units, all I had to do was plug them into the wall socket and presto, it all worked just like it was advertised. My "gamers" are connecting at just slightly slower speeds than if they were plugged directly into the giga ports in the back of the router. So, they're happy to have the speed and dependability for their gaming needs and I'm happy I didn't run wires

3 out of 5 eggsRead the description before your buy!!!

This review is from: TRENDnet TPL-305E 3-Port Powerline 200 AV Adapter Up to 200Mbps

Pros: 3 ports in one wallplug adapter.

Cons: Box makes it east to overlook the fact its only ONE plug, so you need to buy a 2nd one to get it connected to your home router!!!
