4 out of 5 eggsSolved my XBOX 360 S wireless issues

Pros: I used this kit to resolve a longstanding issue I had browsing my music collection over a wireless connection using my XBOX 360 S and its Windows Media Extender app. For whatever reason, HD video and TV always worked fine over wireless to my XBOX, but the music collection in the Windows Media Extender would always choke. By setting these devices up in my apt (where I couldn't do any permanent wiring work), problem solved. I was happily surprised that these devices worked in my circa 1920's apt building.

Cons: Probably a bit overpriced. I'd recommend setting an alert price, and waiting for a sale price.

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent product

Pros: This device is a life saver! I've used wireless networks most of my life, that is until now. Fast and easy to setup.

Cons: None, as long as you are within range of an outlet you are fine!

Other Thoughts: My room is less than 30 feet away from my wireless router, unfortunately the signal has to travel through many walls and a mirror. I've used a wireless bridge/AP to connect to my network, with my computer opposite from my door and my bridge/AP right beside the door. My signal ranged from 28% to 80%, most days it was in the 30% range which most likely intterupted my connection constantly! Once I switched to this device and had it up and running, it was a night & day difference! I now maintain a constant 80Mbps connection and increased internet speed compared to my wireless connection. It may not be the greatest connection ever, however I am not going to be doing any network streaming any time soon and I'm greatly satisfied with this product! Thank you Trendnet and NewEgg!

5 out of 5 eggsAMAZING!! Saved me hundreds!

Pros: Plug-And-Play - No Software Install Required! Fast connection, better than Wi-Fi

Cons: Just make sure you plug each powerline adapter into the wall outlet, not a surge protector. Otherwise your signal will most likely not connect or will drop out. This isn't really a "Con" of this particular model, it's just a limitation of using this tech.

Other Thoughts: Saved me hundreds of dollars by not having to purchase a proprietary wireless adapter for my Xerox laser printer. The printer must be connected to internet to preserve the life-time warranty, but only comes with an ethernet port. Of course I could have just purchased the optional Xerox wireless adapter for it for only $219.99, but I kinda like this idea better :)

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: For my usage which is streaming videos from my pc to my roku or bluray player or internet access for either device it works just fine. I have no issues with stuttering or buffering. I did have issues with my wifi connection due a wall and a very old router (Since updated)

Installation was simple. Instructions sparse.

Some folks pointed out issues with stuttering and buffering but I would have to say that is there wiring. I live in a 12 yr old house so my wiring is very new and up to date.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: Packaging was good instructions sparse software decent

5 out of 5 eggsTrendnet Powerline AV Kit

Pros: Packaging was very good. Sparse manual but really not much to these. Cable length should suffice most any installation.

These were very easy to setup. No issues. I plugged one into my router and the other into my dvd player. I get an excellent throughput for streaming net flix and other services. My wifi would sometimes buffer the streaming but these don't.

I also have plex media server on my pc so streaming from there is excellent as well from netflix. I don't have another pc to test this for file transfers

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: Would highly recommend this to folks that want to connect a dvd player or roku or other media box to there TV and need internet and or streaming from a networked pc.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Product

Pros: I move mine throughout the house with my laptop. They connect in seconds of being plugged in. My speeds are great and I didn't have to wire anything. Does exactly what it should and is super SIMPLE.

Cons: Price

5 out of 5 eggsOutstanding

Pros: Instant plug and play
Fast
Vastly superior to any usb dongle
Comes with 2x RJ45 ethernet cable in the box

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: I bought this kit after i moved my desk and desktop in a room away from the router. My mini-Atx setup is without a wifi card and i wanted to keep a fest comnection without a 30ft ethernet cable or a constantly failing usb dongle. Plugged these in and i was good to go with ~70% of the speed i had with a direct connection

5 out of 5 eggsHighly Recommend

Pros: -Simply works
-Fast and reliable connection

Cons: -Cannot be plugged into a surge protector or extension cable

Other Thoughts: If you're frustrated with the inconsistency and drops of wireless internet, and a standard Ethernet LAN network isn't an option, then this (or any other) Powerline AV Adapter Kit is for you.

Just plug one end into the wall then connect to your computer. Plug the other end into the wall and connect to your Modem/Router.

Depending on the way your house was built, there may be issues with the house circuit breaker, but in most cases, the higher end Powerline kits will still work.

I've tried PCI Wireless adapters, Wireless adapter to ethernet cable hubs, USB wireless adapters... all have fallen short of providing a truly reliable connection. This product is rock solid, and I am extremely satisfied. Nothing feels better than a simple solution to a mind-numbingly frustrating problem.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks Well

Pros: Doesn't need much setup; pretty much plug & play. Took me a whole 5 minutes to get it all working. Installed the TRENDnet Power Line software and it detected the 2nd power line adapter immediately; software doesn't require to be running when Windows starts, but rather, is just a utility for the consumer to use to check status on the connection of the adapters, add security, and to see the bandwidth integrity.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: My house isn't the biggest, but it's not the smallest. I have 1 adapter placed in my master bedroom with my DLINK router. The other adapter is about 75-100 feet away in a different bedroom. Although the device promises about 200Mbps, I'm only getting 20-28 Mbps on the other computer where the 2nd adapter is located. I have a 100Mbps cable connection that delivers solid 100-103Mbps from my modem to my router. I'm assuming that somewhere along the line of the electrical wiring, I'm losing out on some of this bandwidth, therefore leaving me with only 25 Mbps. No big deal, considering the room is so far away. I'll have to try it with the device in a closer room to see if it performs any better.
