Pros: not a single one

Cons: This is the tiniest piece of frustration you will ever have. Hangs printer, 'looses' printer, needs to be re-connected to the router regularly. Total piece of junk.

Other Thoughts: I just want to print from several computers in the house to a laser printer. Occasionally it worked - usually it has me uninstalling and re-installing the software & device. I am back @ newegg to shop for a wireless print server (finally!) and noticed this is still being sold - I had to add my thoughts.

Pros: I found the system works with older Microsoft Vista, but with windows 8 it is another issue.

Cons: The manual is not useful, at all. It does not tell you anything about the secondary menu were you really configure the printer, also were it allows you to how to sign in to your WIFI security system. It work with my vista Desk top, but even after installing the new Firmware, it did not want to work with my Laptop upstairs, and the Printer that I wanted to set up as a WIFI. The manual is no help, and neither is going online to short of contacting Trendnet. This product being user friendly you better find something else. I boxed my unit back up, and thinking of donating at Goodwill.

Pros: NONE

Cons: Piece of junk after getting this home unpack it installed the Unit installed the soft wear 4 times down loaded off there web site tried to get to work and still would not work then went on line and seen the bad reviews other wrote about it They should stop making this it junk.

Other Thoughts: The salesman should know this junk.

Pros: Possibly useful if you only have one computer, and for some reason want your printer far away.

Cons: THIS IS NOT A PRINT SERVER!

It requires you to use their silly software. I want to just hit print, not start their silly utility, "connect" to the printer, then be able to use it, then have to disconnect and do the same routine on another PC.

Other Thoughts: Completely useless for what it's advertised for. I've used other TRENDNet products and have been happy, but this thing is completely useless.

Pros: Sounds like a great concept -- being able to use a regular printer from anywhere in the house, without its having to be attached to a computer.

Cons: Where to start? It DOESN'T WORK. I have messed with it and gotten so frustrated I had to quit, numerous times. Unfortunately I went past the point of no return for NewEgg, and that infuriates me even more, that I can't get my money back (and WHY is this so expensive, anyway?). I actually believed it was my problem because I have had excellent success with Trendnet routers in the past. But I came on here to gripe, and, lo and behold, 5 other people are saying the exact same things! I really want to have something which works, doing exactly what this gizmo claims it can do. If anyone out there can tell me of a product that DOES work, please let me know.

Pros: Small form factor and wireless

Cons: Half the time, the utility required to print to this device doesn't actually pass the print job. Secondly, the utility is NOT Windows 8 compatible yet, but nowhere is that mentioned. Lastly, you CANNOT manually setup a port to print to this device - you MUST go through their utility. Useless and a waste of $50.

Other Thoughts: On a final disappointing note, it takes several minutes for ONE print job to come through, IF the computer manages to actually get it through the utility.

Pros: NewEgg is an awesome company and gave me a refund on this piece of garbage.

Cons: Unusable in the real world. "Network Print Server" suggests it will handle print jobs coming in from the network. Not so. It's connected to one computer at a time, the user has to open a utility and tell it to disconnect to allow another user to hit connect in their utility so they can print. I can't BELIEVE this made it to market. Somebody at Trendnet should be shot.

Cons: set it up on a network can ping the box, across subnet but cannot print to it.
worthless in my opinion save your money
Trendnet Tech support totally useless called second time to see if I could get a different view they told me only works with multifunctional printers. WTH

Other Thoughts: support was useless barley understood english, let alone anything to do with networking.
only gave it 1 star cause they made me other wise i would give it a 0

Pros: Small unit. Initial setup was fairly straight-forward using a patch cable.

Cons: Print server uses proprietary software utility to communicate with the printer which frequently disconnects. Using the provided print utility, sometimes it would help to reestablish connectivity. Other times, the unit is nonresponsive and needs a power cycle to work. After four weeks of nothing but headaches, the unit was replaced with another brand.

Other Thoughts: This unit is installed on a customer site to enable just three users to share an HP monochrome LaserJet printer. The amount of time I have spent so far does not justify my support for this product anymore. My customer was unhappy simply because they couldn't print when they needed. I had to take a hit on this one to keep my customer happy. I replaced the unit with a wireless Linksys print server (refurbished) and all works flawlessly using standard TCP/IP ports. In all fairness, I have used other TRENDnet print servers with success. I think they dropped the ball on this one.

Pros: It's small, very small

Cons: The biggest con is that you MUST use their Control Center Software to print and once you are finished printing, if you do not manually disconnect from the printer, others cannot use it until you do. See Below:

When using the print server, you must use the Control Center software. Once you are done with the print job, you can manually disconnect for others to use the printer.
Basically it locks the printer. I contacted Trendnet tech support and wow, useless. They pretty much told me to read the Users Guide. Thanks! I will be returning all 6 units that were purchased

Other Thoughts: I have about 10 of the Trendnet TEW-P1UG print servers currently deployed, and they work GREAT. They discontinued them. I will avoid Trendnet in the future.
