5 out of 5 eggssix stars!

Pros: Simple to install and use. Works better than I expected.

Cons: Not yet.

Other Thoughts: This is my experiences: My router is on the first level of my home. My bedroom TV is on the second level, the farthest from the router. With the TPL-406E2K It's like the router is right next to the TV!
I've been using wireless extenders but the TPL-406E2K is much better.
I've just ordered two more so I can get my computers additional speed over the wireless WiFi I'm using now.

5 out of 5 eggsFast - just what I needed!

Pros: I got this to stream HD video to an HTPC. I had another brand that was rated at 200 Mbps, and it could not handle streaming the HD video. I would get a lot of stuttering and pixelation. Streaming video with this product has been flawless. I am very satisfied.

Easy set up. Just plug one unit into an outlet near your router and connect to router via ethernet, then plug the other unit to an outlet near your computer and connect via ethernet, and you are up in running.

My source is in the basement, and the HTPC is on the ground floor. Zero connection issues.

Cons: None so far.

Other Thoughts: It's small. It leaves your other outlet on a typical 2-outlet plug available for use.

4 out of 5 eggsIntegrates fine with TPL-308E's

Pros: * Works well with an earlierTrendnet powerline devices I own, namely a couple of TPL-308E adapters.
* Solid connection that connects almost instantly.
* Networking speed well in excess of what my cable modem or any of my hard drives can do (eg. it's NEVER a bottleneck for me).
* Super-reasonably priced during a NewEgg sale
* Non-polarized prongs and no ground pin, means you can orient it "up" or "down" in your outlet.

Cons: None come to mind... they're darn nice units.

Other Thoughts: * No power pass-thru, but I knew that when buying.
* I'm probably capped at 200Mbps when using along with my TPL-308E adapters, but that's no big deal - I just wanted compatibility, and I got it.
*).
* Even the encryption was seamless despite using two adapter models.
* I don't think I could be happier with these units, especially at the $20something price I paid.
* People who habitually tailgate on the freeway should be ashamed of themselves... and depending on the level of offense, maybe even slapped around a while.

1 out of 5 eggsWorked great, then one of them broke

Pros: Easy setup

Cons: Plugged them in and set up a wireless networker (One connects to a cable modem, the other to an apple airport extreme).

Worked great and was able to move the airport to another room. However after about 30 minutes of use, the nano adapter connected to the cable modem no longer turns on.

1 out of 5 eggsBuyer beware

Pros: No pros when the junk won't even power on.

Cons: I have to waste my time and money sending this back.

Other Thoughts: Opened box, plugged in wall units. One won't even light up. .

2 out of 5 eggs100 Mbps = 15Mbps?

Pros: -Price point is good
-The speed it does pull down feels solid, low latency
-Super easy setup

Cons: I've been playing around with these adapters for a few hours now and can't seem to pull down more than 15Mbps.
The N adapter I had in the device I wanted to use this for was already pulling down more than that so this feels a little pointless.

Other Thoughts: Most likely going to replace this with an AC access point - I know the price is much more but I think it's more likely to do what I want.

For the time being I bridged the existing wireless N connection and the Ethernet connection from this device on what I am using and it feels pretty solid for streaming etc.

5 out of 5 eggsUpgrade from TPL-303E2K

Pros: - Works great
- Doubled my speeds compared to the TPL-303E2K (200Mbps) version I had been using

Cons: - Double check the tech specs before you complain about speeds and capabilities
- 10/100 Mbps, not Gigabit

2 out of 5 eggsSneaky Marketing

Pros: Work, and very simple to setup.. Also got them on sale for $25 so great price

Cons: I was a victim of a sneaky marketing. This product says it can reach speeds up to 500Mbps, but the sneaky part is it can only do this between the two electric outlets. The issue is the plugs are only fitted with 10/100Mbps RJ45 jacks. This limits this product to have a end to end transmission or 100Mbps not 500Mbps. It is weird because their "older" product TPL-401E2K has a 10/100/1000Mbps (gigabit) RG45 jack and could transmit data end to end at 500Mbps. Not sure when TRENDnet would downgrade their "newer" product.

Other Thoughts: Even after buying them, and using the product it works great, but very disappointed that I was fooled. I guess I should of looked at the Tech Specs better.
