5 out of 5 eggsflash with dd-wrt

Pros: fast router with many features once you flash it with dd-wrt. 2 usb ports. I think mine was brand new.

Cons: range is okay not great. screen is useless with new firmware

Other Thoughts: loading dd-wrt is easy using the built in firmware loader.

1 out of 5 eggsRegret Ever Purchasing

Pros: It turned on?

Cons: Claims to be "Gigabit capable" Yet on a known working connection, auto negotiation sets it to 100 mbps, if you set it manualy to push 1 gig full it drops the connection immediatly.

Also the main blue power light is extremely bright, I immediatly put a piece of electrical tape over it to block it out.

The lcd has not gone dim or any sort of power save mode. This was not what I expected.

Tried changing host name, clicked apply waited for the ridiculous two + minute restart just to find that it is still broadcasting the original host name but in the setup the host name is the one I chose, I checked this on two other computers and it is true.

Other Thoughts: Its really too bad I have to give at least one egg for this device. I did update the firmware and nothing has changed. I have never liked trendnet and decided to give them chance thinking they may have gotten their act together but this is just stupid. If I could I would return this device. Im going back to my old router, at least it worked properly.

1 out of 5 eggsJunk
