TRENDnet's Powerline 500 AV Wireless Access Point, model TPL-410AP, uses an electrical outlet to create or expand a wireless network. Two Powerline adapters are needed to start a network. Connect one adapter to a router and plug in the TPL-410AP on your electrical system to create or expand a high performance wireless network.

MoK A. 11/20/2014 11:54:58 PM Ownership: 4/5 Verified Owner	Rating: 2/5DONT BUY IT This review is from: TRENDnet TPL-410AP Powerline AV500 adapter+Wireless N300 Access Point kit Pros: it works when it works Cons: instructions are garbage that makes things frustrating to follow even though its plainly explained on the manual but were not done right. what should have been a simple 10min set up took three hours of installation. terrible customer service from trend-net support. Other Thoughts: what seem like a simple plug n play installation became a major issue that took 3hrs to get up and running. the instructions were not correct since the IP address given to get into the adapter was not correct and after hours of missing with it, it just took a simple reset from the adapter to get it to run right. the adapter log in is poorly constructed and requires you to constantly reset and log in back to the adapter. and barely a few months of use the adapter is not working right and after a month e-mails to trend-nets customer support they never responded so i called the support line which they charge there's nothing they can do about fixing the issue with the adapter. It has great signal range, a perfect replacement for my failing Netgear WiFi router at the far end of the house. Cons: Nothing yet Other Thoughts: With included software, you can go as simple or as complex with your Powerline network building, mapping, and security as you would like.
