OVERVIEW

TRENDnet’s high performance AC1750 Dual Band Wireless Access Point, model TEW-815DAP, supports Access Point (AP), Client, Repeater, Wireless Distribution System (WDS) Bridge, and WDS + AP modes. The TEW-815DAP generates concurrent 1.3Gbps Wireless AC and 450Mbps Wireless N networks. Embedded GREENnet technology reduces power consumption by up to 50%.

DAVID D. 6/26/2015 4:03:05 PM Ownership: 5/5	Rating: 5/5Great Dual-Band Access Point This review is from: TRENDnet TEW-815DAP Dual Band Wireless Access Point Pros: I have owned this item for over 1year, and have had only 1 problem with it, that the system will not broadcast dual band SSID, once I updated the firmware to the latest version, and reset to factory spec's then reprogrammed it with my LAN, I have had zero problems with this unit. Cons: Comes with older firmware installed. Other than that... None. Other Thoughts: Once you receive the device, update the firmware ASAP, you will not have any problems. Seems to be well built. Software consistent with other TrendNet device (router). Cons: Per tech support the device cannot be setup up as a dual band wireless repeater even though the manual details how to do it. I set it up as a wired dual band access point and the device will not broadcast on both bands. Sometimes it will broadcast on one or the other band, but never both. I tried updating the firmware and device locked up permanently. I had to pay shipping to send back their defective item. Other Thoughts: I would not recommend the purchase of any TrendNet device. The unit does have the capability to repeat one band and broadcast on both bands.
