Pros: -Faster than 600 mbps units

-In new house with GFCI breakers I got speeds of 31-50 mbps upload and 89-100 mbps download. This was across different circuit breakers in different parts of the house. Now if I use the power-line adapter on the same circuit the speeds are much faster maybe close to 200 mbps up and down.

-Was able to fit UPS plug in the socket above this adapter with a little effort.Should not have a problem with straight plugs. My plug comes down at an angle and I had to do a little work to get it to work, but it worked.

-For me software that comes with these units is easy to understand and the UI is basic but gives you some important info. You can name your own private network if you wanted to. You can also separate the networks if needed.

Cons: -Had trouble connecting to Qualcomm chipped power-line adapters.
-Slower speeds over GFCI breakers.
-WiFi is still faster in my house.

Other Thoughts: -Installation was easy if you read the directions, you can be up and running in 15 minutes.

Pros: House built in 1957 with no grounding. May not be getting the full 1200 mpbs but it is still working extremely well! The Powerline light will always be red but the ethernet light is pumping a flashing green and working just fine! Had my router set up in a remote corner of my old, block home. Have a TV with Netflix streaming and a shed in the backyard with a wireless IP camera. Both were struggling to maintain good, strong signals. Now they are both really stable and I have no more issues with stuttering streaming movies! Bought two sets and now that price has dropped an additional $10 since I bought them 4 mos ago, I may go back for another set just to eliminate more from my wireless network! The adapter fits well in the bottom outlet of a standard, two outlet receptacle. Provides plenty of room for a 3 prong plug to fit in outlet above, and, of course, the built in outlet in the adapter saves from the loss of an outlet.

Cons: Honestly can't think of anything that has annoyed me about this product.

Other Thoughts: PoE in general, is an awesome thing but Trendnet has helped make PoE be that much more useful by creating a product that considers space in the receptacle and prevents loss of an outlet. Works just fine in a non-grounded system. No complaints!

Pros: Easy plug and play. I previously owned a TPl-406E2K and this adapter works with it. It was easy to connect to the old existing powerline adapter.
- Great Speed
- Got to plug in an extra device
- Consistent Speeds. With WiFi my speeds varied depending on the day and also where I was. With this, I get clear consistent throughput.
- I didn't lose the top outlet as well

Cons: Nothing that would demote this from a 5 egg to a 4 egg. Overall device worked great and what it was used for.
Wish it did have additional plugs since this does go behind my TV. But I bought a switch with it and I am now able to connect all my devices (PS4, Xbox one) to it.

Other Thoughts: In order to achieve the high throughput, the adapter utilizes the 3rd additional prong. It also utilizes the neutral wire in your electrical system. From what I read, if your house does not have a neutral wire, you most likely won't get the full throughput. Some houses that are old seem to not have a neutral wire built in.
