5 out of 5 eggsGreat alternative for Mac OS X

Pros: Flawless installation in sawtooth G4. Appears to system as an Airport extreme card for wireless G operation.

Cons: No classic support, but not Buffalo's fault

Other Thoughts: Owned since March '06 without any hiccups.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: I bought the G54S model for my mother. 300 ft and several walls away. I use a Buffalo WHR-G54S router. Both units work fine.

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: I followed the setup guide and used AOSS and Buffalos client manager and had no problems. The OS is 2000 pro.

5 out of 5 eggsworks great

Pros: It was very easy to install. Cheaper. Overall a great card.

Cons: none yet.

Other Thoughts: I bought this for a friend that wanted me to set up his wireless network. Originally we bought a different brands router and card, but it didn't work for what he wanted. Returned the other stuff, ordered this. Not only did this save him 25 dollars (on the router and card) but this actually works.

5 out of 5 eggsWorked on G4 Sawtooth

Pros: I plugged the card in booted up and it worked on my G4 Powermac Sawtooth, great deal.

Cons: lack of vendor support for Mac, it was a gamble to purchase this card hoping that the chip set was supported by apple.

5 out of 5 eggsThis Card Works With My PowerMac G4!

Pros: This card is a wonderful alternative to the ridiculously expensive Apple branded original-Airport cards that are selling on e Bay. For those of you with an older Mac, try this card. There are some versions that ship with an incompatible chipset, but I, as did another reviewer, received the one with the Broadcom chipset (you can see the name on the chip if you look at the card) that is recognized right away as an airport extreme card and connects to my g network through 30 feet of junk!

Cons: can't tell before you get it if it has the right (Broadcom) chipset for a Mac

5 out of 5 eggsgreat card!

Pros: solid card and great signal for the range. i never have any drops.

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: for the people that think it's too much bloat, there's no need for any software. i didnt even realize it came with any. i just updated the drivers through the device manager properties and it's totally fine without any bloatware. either use the disk or updated drivers from the net. dont use any exe setup program.
as far as dropped signals go, it helps to buy a better antenna. almost all these types of cards come with a horrible antenna. also you might want to check to make sure no wireless or microwave devices interfere because they all run on the same 2.4ghz frequency. that's not a fault of buffalo.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks with a Mac.

Pros: Popped it in my girlfriend's B/W G3 and it picked up bunches of networks in the neighborhood.

Cons: Can't think of any.

1 out of 5 eggsGoing straight to the junk box

Pros: None. It's horrible.

Cons: Works for 20 seconds, then finally died. The signal is always weak and the software is a piece of crud that hogs up 50MB of system memory!

Other Thoughts: DONT BE LIKE ME.......and expect to think that this cheap adapter would work like the expensive ones and get the job done. This adapter wont do anything, but it will show you a very weak signal in your taskbar and get you very frustrated.
