5 out of 5 eggsSo far so good

Pros: 1.Easy to install, no disc required
2.Signalling has been good. I place it near 5Gh wireless telephone. No problem.
3.The source of signal is outside my room about 5 metres away with steel door and concrete wall in between. No problem at all.
4.Price is reasonable.

Cons: It is so sensitive, use with provided USB cable is recommended.

Other Thoughts: Good to have it. We can watch movies and tv-programs on-line very smoothly. With 5-dollar discount and free shipping (while I bought it), it's very impressive.

2 out of 5 eggsShould have saved my money...

Pros: It doesn't cost a small fortune, so I'm not out all that much. Buffalo AOSS is great!

Cons: Disappointing performance with my Dell Latitude C840 laptop. Apparently draws too much current from the USB (1.1!!!) ports, and goes catatonic. Tried it on my other PC's with "so-so" results.

Other Thoughts: This is the second Buffalo product I've purshased that failed to live up to expectations. That's really too bad, since I've been a fan of their products up until this point. Guess that's just the way it goes sometimes...

2 out of 5 eggsIt pays to pay

Pros: Took little time to get up and running. The driver and GUI that come with the card worked well with my XP system. It's got a two year limited warranty. Newegg is unbeatable in every way.

Cons: After two months the card began to display glitches, the network would drop often, it had a hard time sync'ing with the router, I had to repair the connection often. After the third month I couldn't get it to work at all. The computer registers that the device is working, but I cannot link with my router, I can't get an IP address from the router. Yes, I am certain that it's not the router's fault because other cards have no problems networking with it.

Other Thoughts: I'm going to do my best to get this product replaced through Buffalo, wish me luck.

2 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Comes with USB cable included so you can position it where signal strength is best.

Cons: Couldn't get it to work.

Other Thoughts: I bought this for a Win98 SE box. I went through the installation and it seemed to install OK. Bottom line, it would not associate with the network unless all security was disabled. Even then, it would not process DHCP correctly and never got DNS info correctly. I could ping known IP addresses, but no name resolution. Might be fine with Win XP but don't buy this if you want to use it with Win98.

5 out of 5 eggsIf Only Everything Was This Easy

Pros: I've used mobo LAN, PCI cards, everything. This is the simplest, fastest, smoothest installation I've ever had the pleasure of doing. This is a must buy, simply put.

Cons: It's a little... bulky. I'm clumsy and scared that I could break it if I trip over the computer. Thank *** for the USB cable.

Other Thoughts: If you don't already have a network card, get this one. You will NOT be disappointed.

5 out of 5 eggsFantastic - x64 users must download

Pros: Again with Buffalo - Now XP 64 drivers. With a little leg work though it will work. As another buyer stated, you have to download the drivers from the wireless chipset manufacturer Ralink (xxx, it's the T2500 chipset). Good design, Apple-like. 'bout the size of a pack of juicy fruit. Nicely done.

Cons: x64 users have to hunt down and download the drivers from . I guess it could be smaller but I'm happy.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat

Pros: This is a very good wireless usb device. It works great under linux since the Ralink chipset that it is based has a huge development community

Cons: The sensitivity of the radio isn't that great. I have seen much better, but ever all it's a great product
