5 out of 5 eggsWorks like a charm

Pros: I received the item damaged and was not able to send it back due to timing issues and it still worked like a charm. I recomend this item for anyone that wants to connect to a wireless network that is out of reach by normal means.

Cons: None

1 out of 5 eggsDidn't help for my setup...

Comments: I purchased this antenna to hopefully improve the signal strength to one of our computers. It wasn't any better then the stock antenna on the DI-624, but it wasn't worse. All in all wasn't worth the money, nor did it work as advertised. It could help increase your signal quality, but if you have any of D-Links AirPlus Xtreme G or 108G MIMO products, it just won't help you out.

5 out of 5 eggsPleased

Comments: Just a note, the omni-directional antenna are generally for routers or access points, whereas the directional antenna are better for the user end. They can be interchanged, but optimally this should be the setup. Hawking explains all this in detail, as well as why the cable is so short, etc. So, buy it and read it. My signal went from low/good, to very good/excellent and it never drops.

3 out of 5 eggsDon't expect much and you won't be disappointed

Comments: I am using 802.11b to share internet access.I have a D-link wireless router in the house and a PC with a Trend USB adapter in my shop office (100' across the drive in a cinderblock building). With the standard D-link 2db antenna I got low-good signal strength and data transfers from 1-5.5mbs. . . Now I still get low-good signal strength, but 2 -5.5mbs transfers (generally 5.5mbs) with a stable connection. Not the full 11mbs, but good enough to surf and stream audio at the same time as long as I use a 30 sec. buffer on Media Player

4 out of 5 eggsPretty good for the price

Comments: Just got the antenna tonight. My issue was the Router was on the 2nd floor of my house, and i was in the basement, 2 levels down. Getting ping times in the 1000's, sometimes 2000ms. Hooked this up 6 hours ago, getting 1ms to 4ms constant and throughput is up 50%. IT was at 20mb, now at 40. Pretty good for me.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks well

Comments: I needed to use it to connect from the basement to an access point on the ground floor. I tried changing cards to name brands and even had issues connecting with Orinoco. This Antenna got me connected right away. Its a good deal and an overall high quality built antenna.

5 out of 5 eggsGood Replacement Antenna

Comments: I lost the original antenna from the wireless adapter card. This one works fine with it. It's probably not meant for that purpose, but rather for the wireless router - which would explain the short cable. However it also does a fine job as a replacement antenna for your wireless adapter.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat little boost

Comments: I wasn't having trouble receiving a signal, but was only getting a good - very good strength. I hooked this antenna up to my wireless card and am now getting a consistent very good to mostly excellent. My in game ping has dropped some and am now downloading as fast as my roomates computer that is wired.

5 out of 5 eggsworks excellent

Comments: Without this antenna I could not even get a signal. When I installed it and properly aimed it while monitoring the s/n ratio i could gain about 6-7 dB as advertised. Then after making a parabolic dish to tape to the back I gained another 3dB. Good deal! Although I decided to go with th ehawking 15 dB unit, I'm just not getting enough bandwith. It works as advertised.

2 out of 5 eggsOuch

Comments: Only a small difference in connection speed. And it has a very short cable that cable that can get annoying. I think I'm going to try a hi-gain directional antenna.
