BETTER NETWORK PERFORMANCE WITH THE HWREN1
A common problem with standard wireless routers is that the quality of most standard wireless networks diminishes significantly past a coverage radius of 200 feet. Anywhere outside the coverage zone will have slow and unstable connections or even no connection at all. The HWREN1 Range Extender doubles the wireless coverage of your high performance wireless network. It eliminates your wireless dead spots and provides extended coverage for other devices. In addition, it stabilizes your wireless connections for the slightly out of reach devices by improving the data transfer speed and reducing lag while streaming or downloading data intensive package.

HWREN1 Performance

Upgradable Antennas The HWREN1 is designed with removable antennas - guaranteed easy range upgrade for long range Wi-Fi applications. Now, you can extend your blazing fast wireless network even further with the easy antenna upgrade option. Extend your signal to your guest home, RV, Boat, and more.

HOW IT WORKS
Simply place the Range Extender halfway between your Wireless Access Point and wireless trouble spot to improve your wireless strength.

2 out of 5 eggsWorked for a short time

Pros: Fast when it works.

Cons: Requires their setup tool to configure it, unfortunately that tool often times cannot "see" the extender. There is no manual configuration that I've found so you are forced to rely on the useless installation tool.

This thing worked for about 3 weeks then just stopped connecting.

Other Thoughts: I should have stuck with Linksys.

4 out of 5 eggsWorks as expected

Pros: It does what it is supposed to. It doesn't take long to set up. They can be chained. It recovers nicely if restarted or others in the chain go down. The antennas are easy to remove and change.

Cons: The menus for setup are a bit sloppy. You have to first select the signal to boost, then separately set up the security. It doesn't prompt the user like it should.

3 out of 5 eggsOne year later

Pros: It does what it says... was very easy to configure and is not noticeably slower in every day use than the original broadcast signal

Cons: I will have to unplug it and power it down occasionally (no more than once or twice a month) when it shows that I'm connected to the range extender but not connected to the internet. Not sure if it's losing the original signal and not picking it back up on it's own or what the deal is. It's not a deal breaker and everyone in the house knows to just unplug and replug when the "internet goes down" on that side of the house

5 out of 5 eggsFantastic!

Pros: Easy to set up in mere seconds! My wireless router out in the garage could only cover the 1st floor and not much of the 2nd floor or basement. I put this in the middle of the 1st floor and now the entire home has full signal strength on every wireless device that is used. No instability at all. Works perfectly!

Cons: None

5 out of 5 eggsWorks great!

Pros: Super simple set up. Took longer to open the shipment box than it did to set it up! Increased signal strength from 0-1 bars to 3-4 in our bedroom.

Cons: Shows up as a separate SSID, so transitioning between networks can get a little hairy.

5 out of 5 eggsI'm impressed

Pros: Works very well.
VERY Simple install - no problems.
Still working!
Range is decently large. Larger than expected.

FINALLY FOUND ONE THAT WORKS THE WAY IT SHOULD!

I would buy this again.

Cons: None.
None.
None.

Other Thoughts: Experience with this has been great.

This has got to be the best I've dealt with yet. All I had to do when setting it up was plug it into my computer, pick the network name, and enter the key. DONE.
Started working immediately. I can unplug it and move it where it's needed too, without resetting the settings.

All of my wireless devices recognize it as if it were my router (because it's working the way it should!).
Sometimes, both the router's wireless and the repeater's wireless show up as two networks - This isn't a problem if you have your network settings saved - strongest signal gets used without changing the settings on your devices.

If I ever needed another wireless repeater, I WOULD DEFINITELY BUY THIS AGAIN.

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent Range Extender

Pros: Easy cd setup. I get a weak signal from my Fios N router50 Mb/sec in my bedroom upstairs. The laptop, tablet, and the soon-to-come LG bluray player with Netflix are somewhat slow or would not stream movies properly without an extender. Now with this extender installed the web browser on my Toshiba notebook, and my Toshiba Excite Tegra tablet are 3 to 4 times faster in downloading pages . My email downloads used to crawl now they fly. What else is there to say?

Cons: None.

1 out of 5 eggsPOSitive lacking

Pros: None

Cons: Doesn't work well. Installation nightmare. Tried to take over my network and nothing else would work. Going to find a hole in the yard to dispose of it.

Other Thoughts: Rebate a joke...

5 out of 5 eggsBest Wifi Extender

Pros: Easy instructions to install. Installed extender upstairs. Within network. Windows 8 works, Window XP works and they all see the network at max speed and 100%.

Cons: None that I can tell.
