Pros: 24/7 Tech Support, Easy to follow instructions, Simple Setup

Cons: Dead after 8 Months, needs to be reset every few days, Tech supports only answer to the fact that it keeps dropping signal is reset it. Have Similar EnGenius product which has been running for 3 months without needing a reset.

Other Thoughts: I am an IT Professional, I repair computers for a living. Very disappointed in the product, will stick with UBIQUITI, or EnGenius from now on.

Pros: Solid built. Good interface. I used it as a WAP out in the yard.

Cons: After 1 year (and 1 winter), it drops connections several times per hour. Very annoying.

Other Thoughts: We use it at a summer cottage (so its off during the winter months.) First summer worked great. The next summer (just after the 1 year warranty expired), it started dropping and/or resetting connections.

I turned off the Hawking and turned on the wireless radio in my router. Computer maintained a solid connection. Switched back to Hawking and it drops the connection several times per hour.

Pros: Easy setup

Cons: Didn't last a week, I called Hawkings tech support and 1 couldn't speak English and wouldn't transfer me to someone who could. 2 after we struggled with the communication for over an hour she told me to take it back to where I bought it.

Pros: Worked well.

Cons: Difficult setup. Didn't last.

Other Thoughts: Purchased this to bounce internet to my house from my home office. Worked very well for a while then started dropping connection. Changed cables, bought a new poe injector, essentially changed everything but the unit itself.
After a few emails to tech support i was told I have a dying unit.
Since Im out of warranty I'm out of luck.
If you can afford to replace this every year or so, buy it.
Otherwise, stay away!

Pros: It looked good on paper and for a short time, it worked fine.

Cons: I only hooked it up when I needed to service another part of the house. Each time I hooked it up it seemed to present more problems. Sometimes unplugging it fixed it temporarily, sometimes it didn't. In addition, the aluminum plate on the bottom and all the metal parts were corroding pretty rapidly (I live in a tropical location). I tried to talk to tech support but the accents were so thick I found it very difficult and ultimately I gave it up for a new system.

Pros: Comes with power injector

Cons: Price

Other Thoughts: Standard Signal strength and quality. Probably requires external antenna to extend range. Purchased to use outdoors as AP, but my standard AP had a better signal from inside the building.

Pros: Worked great for the time it worked great signal and coverage

Cons: now when you hook it up to the router it will actually cause the DSL to drop the connection. tested Poe the cable and everything i could still has a visible network and everything along with allowing you to connect but once you connect it to the router it drop the DSL connection and will not reconnect to the DSL until you unplug it...........

Other Thoughts: Had Frontier Service Tech come inspect DSL modem along with the lines and everything else on thier end no problems

What mode were you using this in? It kind of sounds like it was not in Access Point Mode but in bridge mode. Did you try hooking up directly to it with a laptop and running the setup CD to reset it? You can contact our 24/7 support at 1888-202-3344 and we should be able to troubleshoot what happened here.

Cons: These things are pure trash.

I'm sure the other 2 will die soon.

Other Thoughts: I really don't care for the money lost compared to the time and efforts that Hawkings has trashed, so much disrespect to others for building garbage and selling it. Shame on you.

Pros: Seems like an excellent piece of equipment, if it had continued to work.

Cons: Well, stopped working. PoE injector could have better labeling of the LEDs.

Other Thoughts: I got this with a HWABN1 Access Point. All was working well setup as Point to Point bridge when the HOWABN1 decided to quit on me. Very disappointing. Thankfully Newegg is RMAing a replacement. This is why I buy everything I need from Newegg.

Pros: Excellent range, easy configuration, good security features, Wireless N, includes POE injector

Cons: None so far.

Other Thoughts: Using this for construction project WiFi access to whatever Internet is available onsite. Mounted on pole above construction trailer and the entire site had wall-to-wall signal strength. No dropped connections.
