Pros: It has a pretty good range for the price. I had no problems installing the drivers, just downloaded the latest from the site, installed and it was up in running in less than a minute. I'm using it upstairs in on the opposite side of the house from the router, through 4 walls, and I'm getting 5 bars.

I get 35MS ping, 17.29 mpbs upload and 1.47mpbs upload with the adapter VS 30, 18.9 and 1.6 on LAN, so it's pretty fast and is good enough for gaming without any lag or streaming 1080p content with no problems.

It's a vast improvement over the built in wi-fi on my laptop that broke and only got 3-4 bars on my wireless.

Also it's all black and the light on it is very dim so you don't even notice it. Also soft touch coating (EVERYTHING should have this)

Cons: The adapter is a little bit bulky and might block other USB ports if they are too close together.

Other Thoughts: Be careful if you are using this with a laptop as it sticks out quite a bit and has the antenna too, so make sure you don't accidentally 'hook' it or you may break it (though it feels like decent build quality).

Pros: Easy install. Got a definite signal boost compared to my other 2 adapters. Antenna swivels for best postion.

Cons: as was mentioned before, partially covers USB port next to it. If it was a bit slimmer would be better, but not a problem with me since I have so many ports.

Pros: It has been working perfectly for around a year, perhaps a bit longer. I can't tell the difference between this and my ethernet connection, and the range is very good as well. For $30, this was a great purchase, it operates better than several more expensive PCI adapters I've seen.

What's more, I just put my computer in my car the other day, and accidentally left this adapter sticking out the back. I wedge the computer between the seat back and the back seat, and the adapter got smashed. The casing cracked in half and the USB plug got bent 60 degrees. This thing looked totaled, but I pushed the casing back together and it snapped back into place, I held the case on both sides and applied small pressure to the USB plug and it bent back into place. The adapter is still functioning flawlessly.

Cons: I can't think of any, but my experience with wireless networking is very limited, so I'm not the person to ask about technical details.

Pros: Powerful increased signal and easy to setup.

Cons: The only con is its bulky size

Other Thoughts: MY building is filled with a lot of signal disturbance making my normal wireless cards useless. This little fella did the job better than I expected it to. I went from 1-2 to FULL. Its the best card for its low price compared to the others. I don't really have a problem with the bulky size, b/c I understand that it has to be bulky to support its capability, but I put it as a con because it will concern others.

Pros: Fast. I did a speed bandwidth test with ethernet wired and then the HAWNU1 wireless and it was the same speed.

Cons: it gets a little warm. My HWUG1 (earlier model) broke 3 years ago and I put it in a box and returned it to Hawking and they gave me a brand new same model and it was after warranty period. So here I am buying possibly a third Hawking Wireless adapter.

Other Thoughts: I upgraded my antenna. I cant remember the difference in dB, but it was small. My new antenna is about 2 inches taller. I am looking at buying another one of these.

Pros: Easy set-up!

Cons: Wide adapter overlaps other USB Port, rendering it useless and wish body did not stick out so far..... So this takes one Egg off for me, but this may not pertain to you.

Other Thoughts: Cable Modem/D-Link N-Router(3 antennas) on 1st floor of my 3 floor townhouse. PC is on 3rd floor, I now have 4 bars!!! instead of 1-2 with the 3-antenna pci adapter that came with the D-Link.

Pros: I used this adapter paired with a Hawking Repeater to get Internet from my customer's house to a nearby shop - several hundred yards away.

We added the Hawking 14DBI Antennae to the adapter and it worked like a charm.

Cons: None!

Other Thoughts: I run a computer repair business in Vermont. I get all of my tech gear from New Egg. The shipping is blazing fast, the customer service is fantastic, and the products are top of the line.

If you ever DO have to call customer service, they're easy to communicate with.

Pros: Great price, very reliable. I game a lot and i know how important it is that you must maintain a strong connection. I have had this for about 3 months now and never had a connection dropped.

Cons: antenna is kinda bulky

Pros: I was shocked at the consistent speeds and stronger signal this adapter gets! And no more dropped connections!
Definitely worth every penny.
