Pros: Works very well with the m0n0wall router/firewall software.
Cons: Had to install the heatsink myself. It's as simple as peeling the tape and sticking it on, but still, I shouldn't need to do this.

Pros: it does work. xp home, followed instructions (i think, sorry been awhile) i remember, with the disc inside and after a restart, xp home picked up the new device and automatically and properly installed.
Cons: takes awhile to establish stable connection with router> then internet. prolly about a minute or two, maybe five. i just turn on my computer then do something else before going online. when it does establish, everything is normal. i dont notive any speed difference than without this card.
Other Thoughts: not instant. for some reason if your onboard ethernet connection dies out and you cant find a solution, this might be an "okay" alternative.
