Works for Linux

Purchased 2 for part of an Untangle device and they worked under Linux 2.6. They were cheap.

Works and is cheap

5 out of 5 eggs
I installed it and it worked with a little setup. Also it is very small and comes with a smaller half size pci slot mounter.

5 out of 5 eggsNetwork Booting

Pros: It works. No drivers needed in Windows XP. The price is right.

Cons: Lack of documentation. After installing the card, the computer would try and boot from the network until it timed out after 10 seconds or so then would boot normally. Regardless of the BIOS boot priority, the network boot could not be stopped. The documentation included with the card mentioned nothing of network booting.

Other Thoughts: After upgrading the BIOS for the motherboard and still having the same issue, I stumpled across a very brief message about pressing Shift + F10 while loading the BIOS Setup for the motherboard. The message was only available right before loading the BIOS setup for the motherboard, not when booting normally. Once I entered the Boot Agent Configuration Menu for the network card I was able to change the boot priority to my preferences (Int 18h). The default setting is to override the motherboard BIOS settings (Int 19h). F4 to save and exit.
