4 out of 5 eggsWasn't DOA but...

Pros: Inexpensive
Gigabit ethernet
Newegg and Rosewill Customer service

Cons: Originally bought in June '14, had issues getting it to work at first but eventually it did. I have it running on a home server and it would drop connection randomly.

Other Thoughts: After enough troubleshooting and just dealing with a tempremental NIC for a few months, I decided to try and RMA it. Process was SUPER EASY. Filled out the form on Rosewill's site along with what troubleshooting was done and I had a replacement on my doorstep the same week. So far so good on the new card. No dropped connections.

Had to drop an egg off the rating for the first card having problems, but I'd still recommend it to someone looking for Gb speeds on a shoestring budget.

4 out of 5 eggscheap replacement for failed onboard LAN

Pros: Low cost, Rosewill is typical mid-level quality but it has a Realtek chip. I bought this b/c lightning struck near my home and as Tesla told us, the earth conducts electricity; so buried phone lines get juiced sometimes by lightning during Thunderstorms even if the lighting strikes a hundred yards away. Shortly after I noticed that my motherboard's LAN port going to my router was no longer working or recognized by windows. It took the two adjacent usb 2.0 ports with it. I don't know how the DSL modem and router were not damaged, but I have no other explaination for the failure.

Cons: A little slower and less responsive than the old Ethernet chip on my Asus motherboard but all in all, I'm satisfied.

Other Thoughts: My System pertinents:
Intel P67 chipset
Intel i5 2500K CPU
Windows 7 SP-1 64-bit

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome Product!

Pros: Good quality, fast, easy to install, & works right out of the box.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: I bought this network card because I wanted to replace my onboard network. It's easy to install & it works right out of the box; make sure to update the drivers from the internet. I'm getting better internet connection for both download & upload speed. I highly recommend this to anyone. I will definitely buy this again.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks fine

Pros: You obviously won't need this unless your onboard LAN fails or starts to act up. My RTL8111F built in started dropping connections so I decided to try this card. Win 7 HP, 64bit. Plugged it in; it was recognized and drivers installed automatically. Uses the same Realtek 7.080 drivers as the built in. Seems to have cleared up my problem so I'm happy right now.

Cons: None yet. We'll just have see how long it lasts.

Other Thoughts: I was trying to decide between a PCI and a PCI-e card. From all I can see so far, this one is all you need. Speed tests from 3 different sites all show the same download and upload speeds or better than the built in. LAN is connected at 1 Gbps.
