Pros: About the same as the booster. I used that booster on this Rosewell and was able to see networks all around. The install and setup was easy. My network is tight and I have had issues with other adapters this one was quick and easy.
Cons: None, Nada, Nothing
Other Thoughts: Wish I had gotten me one at the Labor Day Price

Pros: Cheap price. Nice build quality. Looks good. Pretty small for its features. Quick cheap shipping.
Cons: Doesn't have a fan?
Other Thoughts: This adapter works great!! I have had none of the overheating problems mentioned by other reviewers and I'm running this in a hot garage in Texas! Definitely skip the included cd and let Windows install it automatically. Just plug and play! I'm running WinXP SP3 and had no problems.

Rating: 5/5Works Well - Forget the Software
Pros: Low Price, Good Build Quality, Works.
Cons: Included software
Other Thoughts: I used this on an old machine running Windows XP Professional. I did not follow the instructions and install the software from the CD. I just plugged the adapter in and Windows detected it and automatically installed it.

Pros: Well despite the negative reviews I got one of these Rosewill wireless adapters. Came in usual quick Newegg fashion and after a few initial troubles that were my fault (I forgot to whitelist the adapter in my router's settings as it filters MAC addresses) it worked like a charm on my desktop and laptop running Windows 7 (x86 and x64). Didn't even have to download drivers, Windows 7 did it automatically on both computers as they already had active connections to the Internet but Rosewill makes it fairly easy to get them off their website and there is a driver CD included as well.
In terms of performance this dongle gets excellent range (as good as my Intel WiFi N card built into my laptop) and the speed is great as well.
Cons: A bit wide so on laptops you might find ports next to the USB port you use this adapter on blocked and sometimes the dongle seems to get slightly warm, but just slightly. Also it's a white adapter but the antenna is black (bit of an odd combo to me, since the black one is black with a black antenna, why not make the white one white with a white antenna) but I'm nitpicking.
Other Thoughts: It's a great adapter at a good price for anyone looking for a way to bring a computer onto a wireless network that doesn't need or can't use the extra potential speed of Wireless N. In my case I won't be using in the future much with built-in wireless cards on all my computers but it was free with the item I actually wanted so what do I care.
