Don't bother
- Pros: Had great range. Easy to setup.
- Cons: Will last a few months and then it dies. It is no longer listed under current products on the Rosewill website. They had a new firmware for this router, that didn't take.
- Other Thoughts: Had one for about 6 months and it died. Sent it back and NewEgg replaced it. That one lasted about a year. Feels like it is cheaply made. Buy something else and save your money.

- Pros: Performed great...when it was working.
- Cons: Unfortunately it died after giving a year and two months service. Pristine inside just dead.
- Other Thoughts: Guess I'll have to try another brand. Note this particular model is listed on Rosewill's site as discontinued and the firmware is no longer listed.
Died
- Pros: Price. Setup was easy.
- Cons: Router performed well until the past couple of days. Started dropping out and then just died - no lights. Power adapter is good, but no lights on router. Had it sitting in an open area to try to eliminate heat problems mentioned by others. Router is 18 months old - too soon for failure in my opinion, but of course, out of warranty. Won't buy another - quality is very suspect.

** Important notice:
1. You must reboot both the router and your house modem (from your ISP) after the first time you setup the router. After that, your modem can detect the new setting and works correctly.
2. Older PC/NB may have problems connecting (slow or fail to open the network) with RNX-N4/N4PS. This is due to a driver issue of your wireless client trying to connect to new N router. Please update the wireless driver of your PC/NB to solve this issue.
RNX-N4 is a gaming router which is not design for a used of wireless bridge.
It can only establish a bridge by wired instead of wireless. |
