Cons: The router gets hot, so I let it the wires and gravity lean it backward so it can vent. Every few days or weeks, the internet stops working. It's likely because the DNS cache needs to be cleared. There's no power switch, so I have to unplug the device and plug it back in. After waiting a bit, it starts working again. Also, for the setup, you can have a MAC address filter. It'd be nice if you could assign device names to the associated addresses.

Rating: 1/5Bleh.
Pros: Worked acceptably well at first. The construction seemed solid.
Cons: Started acting flakey after a couple months, required frequent reboots. Applied a new firmware update, hoping it would fix my issues, and it bricked the router.
Other Thoughts: Got this in 2009 when it was a new product, not knowing anything about Rosewill. I went to a Cisco RVS4000 after this and never looked back.

Rating: 2/5Decent performance - when it worked.
Pros: Great price, wireless-N speeds, gigabit Ethernet, WPA2 support, nice blue LED indicator lights.
Cons: Where to start. I have owned two of these products, and both have died in under a year. The second one died just a few weeks ago, and there is no way I am replacing it with another rosewill product. Both of the routers had constant overheating problems even under very light loads, and if you did any gaming, video streaming, or file transfers, they would start dropping connections. The plastic on top was blistering hot, and the cooling for this product was obviously inadequate. I had to use a desk fan just to maintain a stable connection to the router. No active cooling, just two small heatsinks inside, and hardly enough vents.
Other Thoughts: Save yourself the trouble and buy from Cisco or Netgear. Something as critical as a router should last far longer than 1-year, and when it goes down, you'll find yourself without a network and scrambling to rush-ship a replacement like I did. I never should have made the mistake of buying a second one, but I did, and it wasn't any better.

Rating: 1/5Worst purchase ever
Pros: I love the brand with respect to computer cases.
Cons: This router caused me so many network problems I spent countless hours and $'s to fix it. Thought it was a bad internet connection so I switched from cable modem to DSL to business class cable modem and back to residential cable. Finally realizing when the cable guy was here that it was this router creating so much noise on my network that it was affecting all of my network attached devices.
Other Thoughts: Switched to Cisco Small Business class devices and have had the best experience yet with home network setup.

Rating: 1/5dead after 8 months
Pros: Gigabit ports
Cons: Run's HOT! died after about 8 month use.
Other Thoughts: This unit worked great for about 8 months, then just died one day. Can't return it for a new one since it was a replacement for a previous unit that died. Pretty much a waste at this point.

Rating: 2/5Good while it works
Pros: Features & Cost.
Cons: The heat it generates will kill it.
Other Thoughts: Had this for a couple years, then it started dropping the WAN connection on a regular basis. Basically it gets red hot near the WAN connector (Wifi chips at that location) and the logs show it loses connection on that WAN port. Once this starts happening the router is worthless for online gaming.

Rating: 5/5GREAT ROUTER 5YEARS+
Pros: fantastic. i am an electronic engineer and never had a single problem in 5+ years. easy to set up. had slingbox pluggeded in, no dropped frames, i can't say enough about that alone. i also would surf and download at the same time, no problems. lightning took it out, so other than being unfriendly to lightning, it is a workhorse. darn lightning.
Cons: cant take lightning for some strange reason. lol.
Other Thoughts: AWESOME GREAT WOW. you will NOT be dissappointed by this fenominal(sp?) router. i could go on and on gushing my thanks to rosewill for such a great product.

Rating: 3/5Worked well before it died
Pros: Decent range, nice repeater functionality with other Rosewill products, fairly cheap but I bought it slightly used from a neighborhood computer store.
Cons: Took a bit to set up as the documentation was rather lacking. Got very hot and after about 6 months it started to require weekly (sometimes daily) resets. Died after about 8 months (but I bought it slightly used so it may have last up to a year).
Other Thoughts: Initially I had this sitting on short carpet but once it started overheating I put it on top of a book and that helped it to stay a little cooler but it still overheated and still died which was disappointing. Also, wireless N is not really THAT much better than b/g in regards to range - chances are you will get a slightly better range but the speed increase is pretty nice if you take advantage of it within a LAN setting.

Rating: 3/5Too hot, requires constant reboots.
Pros: Works great when it isn't overheating. Tons of options and features. Looks nice. Can be used to fry an egg.
Cons: Runs way too hot. Obviously and engineering failure given all the other reviews about heat problems and fried routers.
Other Thoughts: I love this router and wish it wasn't so problematic. Unfortunately, I may have to replace it soon (it's out of warranty) as I can no longer stand constantly having to reboot, especially since I need my connection up for remote apps.

Rating: 2/5Hotter than a Toaster
Pros: When working no problems and fast wireless and wired.
Cons: Really Hot , 1st router fried 8 mos, 2nd router fried 5 mos today. Looking to replace hopefully still warrantied . Actually considering purchasing different one but if i get replaced for free no problem.
Other Thoughts: would not recommend. Looks like this thing overheats and fries out. Runs real fast when working probably why runs hot. Should of built a small fan inside this thing.
