5 out of 5 eggsGood 100Mbps Switch

Pros: - Good Construction
- Advertised Speeds are accurate
- Low Power Consumption
- Un-managed, simple plug and play

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: This was a great price for an 8-port switch. I no longer use this switch as my network is now 1000Mbps, but this was great while using it. Rosewill makes great products as always.

5 out of 5 eggsPerforms Well

Pros: Stable, inexpensive, light-weight housing

Cons: Light-weight housing.

Other Thoughts: Bought this for a small computer lab environment running at Ethernet 100Mbps max. Was worried it wasn't auto-mdi but it did sense the uplink cable. So used all pass-through cables with no issues at all. Getting full speeds at each station. Am using it in a hybrid tree/token-ring topography and very satisified, especially with the price (back when it was $10.99). The housing is very light, so doesn't sit well on the table-top when the cables are plugged into the back. I didn't want to mount it on the tables for keeping it in place securely since their folding-types.

5 out of 5 eggsCool

Pros: Price, 8 ports.

Cons: Didn't install itself

Other Thoughts: I have an Ethernet cable running from the router on one side of the house to this switch on the other side of the house seems to work just fine and I have no overheating issues, it doesn't even get warm to the touch.

3 out of 5 eggsThought it was defective-

Pros: Cheap, limited number of flashing lights, replaced gigabit switch in an admittedly non-gigibit network with no decrease in performance

Cons: Thought it was DOA. Plugged in with nothing connected and nothing happened. No lights, nothing. And the PCB had that nice burny smell. Was ready to throw it out but on a whim picked up another power supply and tried it and it worked. Power supply that came with it was dead.

Other Thoughts: QC clearly a bit dodgy on Rosewill products. Newegg's awesome return policy is the only reason I keep buying them.

5 out of 5 eggsDoes the job

Pros: It works, it was cheap and it does what it says.

Cons: None so far.

Other Thoughts: It's nice for personal use. I used to have a 24 port netgear with built in fans and since my electronics are in my room I would have to unplug the switch before I went to bed so it would stop making noise, but this one is silent so that is nice.

5 out of 5 eggsInexpensive ethernet switch

Pros: I got this for 8.99 a few days ago. it is cheap and it sounds like a reliable ethernet switch based on the review/rating. I paired it to a powerline ethernet adapter so that I can connect my xbox, blu-ray and directv receiver. playing games and videos are smooth no buffering or lag so this should be sufficient for my needs. Fyi.. use the 8x port to connect to the powerline adapter.

Cons: 10/100mbps only. but this would work for my needs
