1 out of 5 eggsConstant Reboot

Pros: Cheap

Cons: Like everyone else, I have to reboot every day. Even when it is "working" , it drops constantly.

Other Thoughts: Please Mr Tech at Rosewill. DO NOT COPY/PASTE that same lame "please call us" garbage you have for every other complaint about the signal dropping. How about a working firmware or a solution to this problem?

Manufacturer Response:

2 out of 5 eggsConnection stops too often

Pros: Rosewill is generally a company that produces decent products at reasonable prices. I still believe that despite this negative review for this specific product model.

Cons: This model was supposed to be better than the previous Rosewill router I bought. And yet, it has been the most problematic router I've ever had. At first, I was blaming Comcast for random dropped connections. But over time, I discovered that it was the Rosewill router. Everytime I did a reboot, the matter would clear up. But the problem recurs for no apparent reason even without heavy usage. I've had all I can stand and getting another router. I've patiently waited for a firmware upgrade but I am done waiting. The dropped and stopped connections is intolerable now. It happens more than once a day.

Other Thoughts: This product has damaged the otherwise good reputation of Rosewill as far as I am concerned. I am still willing to buy Rosewill products but this one I would definitely stay away from.

5 out of 5 eggsRemarkable Cheap priced router.

Pros: I bought this router way back in 11/27/2012, and boy... time sure does fly by fast...
Making this review on 5/4/14 and this router is still kicking. I don't know if the other people that bought this router had a bad one or not, but from my experience, I had it at my house at first. Bought a new router and gave this one to my girlfriend.

In both houses, Considering they are different she has a 3 story house and i only lived on a house with one floor, The signal is extremely strong no matter where i stand. Maybe occasionally i get 4 bars out of 5, but it is still strong in speed no matter what.

I normally have 101 mbps from my internet service provider, and through ethernet wire, i get a solid 95-98 mbps when i do speed test, and about 30-35 mbps through wireless. Not bad at all considering what is listed on the specifications, is what you get.

The setup is too easy. So easy, that a toddler that can read and has at least low knowledge of router tech, can set this up in a good 10 minutes.

I would recommend this to ANYONE that is willing to spend so little on such a good router.

Cons: No gigabit ports but then again, i still get stable and solid speed with 100mbps ethernet ports for all you diehard gigabit fans.

Other Thoughts: Keep it up rosewill. This is by far the best router in my opinion and experience I've ever had in my lifetime so far.

1 out of 5 eggsComcast blamed router, I doubted till I replaced

Pros: I kept having internet problems, even wired. I contacted Comcast a few times as rebooting this did not solve the problem. Comcast said it was this router. I doubted them, but I bought a new one anyway. The new router was way faster and much more reliable. There isn't even a comparison between this and my new router. Having read others reviews that even their RMA'd units stunk, I don't think I'll waste even $5 to ship it back for replacement. Sounds like the replacement will be just as bad.

Cons: Too many to list.

3 out of 5 eggsWorks OK, but locks-up sometimes

Pros: Inexpensive
Good range

Cons: Occasionally locks-up (no WiFi connections).

Other Thoughts: In about 4 months of ownership I've had it 'lock-up' (devices couldn't connect via WiFi) about 4 or 5 times, requiring power disconnect (re-boot) to get back on-the-air.
Have now added a 6-outlet power strip to make easier to cycle-power, since unit is mounted up-high and out-of-sight. I'm also pondering putting it on a light timer, so that it has 30mins of "off time" every night (i.e. daily re-boot) as a pre-emptive strike against lock-ups.

1 out of 5 eggsRosewill RNX-N360RT

Pros: Works when directly plugged in to 10/100 port.

Cons: Wireless is spotty at best. Most times I can't connect at all.

Other Thoughts: I do not RMA, I will not pay for return shipping on a device that is to work when I receive it.

2 out of 5 eggsDaily reboot required.

Pros: Fast and plenty of features.
Good signal range

Cons: On a daily basis, will decide to stop serving to WAN and require reboot. Or completely lock up (no access via 192.168.1.1) requiring reboot

Other Thoughts: I wish there were some relevant logging in place so I could have more of an idea what's wrong with this model. Alas, the logs show DHCP info only.

Also, was looking forward to a firmware upgrade by this point perhaps addressing these issues. No such luck

1 out of 5 eggs4 months old and Dead

Pros: It had pretty good range. Was inexpensive

Cons: Bought in August, now its Nov and it's really flakey. Wireless will rarely let me connect. Once connected I get 1.5 mbs at most on a 150mbs connection. Wired works ok. But after 2 hours it will need to be rebooted. And not just the router, I have to reboot my router and my cable modem. I contacted tech support, they were too busy, so they had to call me back. Which they did and offered a RMA. But I have to pay for shipping... Not sure its worth $10 to ship back.

Other Thoughts: I would not recommend this router, buy something that may last longer.

2 out of 5 eggsfrequent dropping, poor firmware, no updates.

Pros: A cheap router with 3 removable antennas, decent firmware options, and bridging capability. A router like this, IF IT WORKED, would be great for providing coverage over a large building when using wifi bridging and replacement antennas.

Cons: Right away this router started causing problems. the set-up wizard did not work through chrome, and the only way I was able to configure the router was by a "new network detected, do you want to configure?" typing in the IP results in nothing.
after setup the router behaved well, doing what I needed to do, providing wifi access across the street and with a second unit setting up a wifi bridge.
Over the few months, the units repeatedly would not authenticate, drop wifi, need frequent, and some times repeated reboots. Since this network was used for VoIP for an at-home business, we need to replace these units. unfortunately we are out of the 90 day warranty, so stuck with these units now.
If only it supported DD-WRT these problems wouldn't have happened.
